The Poor Man's Guide to Broadway
Eh, I lost the Kinky Boots lottery the only time I entered. I was disappointed.
Nice article. :)

Yes nice article and I won the Kinky Boots lottery last night (and I have won a few times before ..only lost once). I have had a lot of luck at Matilda as well.
But yes, nice article for sure.

You should try again! If you lose the lottery, they sell tickets for $40 afterwards but I think they are partial view. Good luck! :)

Glad you won the lottery, I'll have to try Matilda next! Thanks for the tip! :)

Matilda lottery is a real bargain - only $27 for partial view but the partial views are usually side orchestra and not bad at all. They often (but not always) sell cheaper seats to the lottery losers as well.

That's great! With my luck, the "lottery loser" tickets may come in handy. Thanks for the tip!
This is a blog I would visit frequently if it was continually updated haha. Arriving in a few days and the lottery/rush will be my saving grace. I like how with Kinky Boots you give some indication as to what the chances are of winning a ticket; I'd very much like to know what the turn-out was like with If/Then?
I don't know if you went with a friend or alone, but you were lucky to get the seat closer to the stage (the seat on the right side in your case). I once had the seat on the "inside", and I found almost half the stage to be blocked by the people around me. Really really bad seat. Wouldn't even pay $37 for it. Luckily I was able to move to a free orchestra ssatt for the second act.

I think the lottery for If/Then is usually a little harder to win because it takes place a half an hour after all of the other lotteries. I think people tend to rush over to the If/Then lottery if they haven't won any of the others which take place a half an hour before. Sometimes if you haven't won the lottery, the box office will still offer you "lottery loser" tickets, so definitely ask if you don't end up winning! :)

Oh wow, I guess it depends on who is in front of you and if they have a big head! I always pray the person in front of me isn't tall! Glad you were able to find a better seat for the second act! :)
