I really like John Glover. I just thought he did a really good job. I don't know, just my two cents.
And Mara was absolutely wonderful when I saw her. Absolutely fantastic. Cute as a button. Played Janet wonderfully. And a joy to talk to at the stage door (she talked to to us for quite a while when she was waiting for her fiancee).

I'm sure I would have liked Glover and Worley in the roles. I just couldn't go back to NYC so soon. Hopefully, Drowsy will still be there when I can go back to see Young Frankenstein.
I can understand both sides of the debate. I hope the majority will like seeing something new. Glover has some good facial expressions, so I bet he gives the audience some really questioning looks. I am happy some enjoyed it and I hope some of those favored Actors get the chance to tackle the role. It's just too funny!

Andy Richter is a really interesting idea, and very different from John Glover. More along the lines of Steve Pemberton it seems.
And actually, WickedBoy63, they knew the show was closing before Bob left London.

And does anyone else see Joanne Worley as more of a Chaperone that Mrs. Tottendale?
No, you're not. Someone sent me an instant message when JoAnne was announced that said "JoAnne is going to be in Drowsy", and I presumed that Beth was leaving and JoAnne would be playing The Chaperone.

Hot Seat: Crombie Will Be Back in Broadway's Drowsy Aug. 21; Glover Exits Aug. 19

This is going to be rough. Yet Crombie will be the "interim" man again. Hello again, NY.
He has to go on tour in mid-October, so we still don't know who will take over in New York for the long term right? They're just dragging it out! "Plots within plots..."

I do believe Jonathan Crombie joins the tour in October, not September.

Ah yes, Toronto. I didn't forget Toronto, just made a quick post. Well at least you will be able to see the show again in New York. He's playing it open ended right now. I was just hoping they gave him some time to prepare for the Tour. Hopefully they will find someone for the NY role soon.
It should give ticket prices a little boost though. We will see. A few fans missed out so hopefully this time they will get the chance to see Jonathan in the role.
Still the question and the problem remains, who will be in the chair for good? Maybe, we will just see "musical chairs"? It is starting to seem that way right now.

I think that maybe Sean Hayes would make a good man in chair.
(altho' I'd still prefer Bob M.)

For Sutton, she may have gotten bored or just couldn't pass up the chance to work for Mel Brooks? (who knows?) Her contract was up, so she flew the coop. Opportunity for advancement it seems?
For Bob, I don't think he ever thought it would last this long! His wife just had a baby and he can afford to stay near home. I'm a little surprised it is taking so long to find some less known Actor to play Bob's part in New York? Most of those Actors they wanted, haven't been able to play the part, so here we all are.
I fear these delays in casting are hurting the show some though.
