Man that's embarassing, a reference to me is made from one of the shows I did and I didn't get it! Then again I never liked the show...I remember the capulet line though...and I enjoyed playing the music and respect the intertwining melodies of Goodnight My Someone and 76 Trombones but ye gods, jeely kly...too happy for me.

I just remember thinking about one gay guy in high school inparticular "Wow! He's so cute! and he loves Les Miz! And he is writing his own musical! I wonder why he doesn't have a girlfriend. I'm right here!"
Cut to 15 years later and I'm marrying a NYPD cop that likes video games and farting. What a switch. LOL. He loves Broadway though - should I be worried? (kidding!)

Fredi, what do you think of younger(middle school) kids going to see Rent? I took a group of the younger girls in the dance company I am captain of this weekend, all with signed parental permission of course(I wrote the parents letter telling them EVERYTHING the movie entailed), and I can't tell if they were too young to just get it.

Wicked...
It's not my favorite show either, and I almost didn't auditon, but then did, got cast as a Pick-a Little...Alma Hix...and had the most AMAZING summer with these wonderful people in the cast. It completely got me back into doing shows.
And I got to see a whole bunch of the cast today..which was so much fun!

Posted: 12/6/05 at 10:02pmI saw RENT for the first time when I was 12. I was also mature my age as well. I think if the kid is mature enough they will be fine. I knew I knew most of what RENT was about at that time. I actually knew a lot more stuff I shouldnt have.
