re: The Richard Rodgers Threatre...Ick#26
Posted: 7/22/09 at 8:36pmNo, it's perfect.
re: The Richard Rodgers Threatre...Ick#27
Posted: 7/22/09 at 8:38pmIt may be a perfect seat but the show on the other hand

Posted: 7/22/09 at 9:38pmwell we ended up getting Row A 106-107 Yay! dead center! But that is the second row right?

Posted: 7/22/09 at 9:44pmYes, that is the second row because the lottery winners are in the front. The view is great though, except for seeing people sweating up close.

Oh I see. Well my grandma is one of those theater goers who always has to see the face of everyone on stage. We are sitting in the mezz at Billy Elliot and she wasn't too pleased we were so far back. But she will thank me. The other half of the family is sitting just one row back. First three seats from the left aisle. I'm getting very excited for our trip in 1 week. 6 shows in 7 days!

The Rodgers is The 46th Street Theater, one of the most successful musical comedy houses in the district. I saw "Best Little Whorehouse" over 30 times there and never had a bad seat. And "Nine" many times. It was home to the original runs of Anything Goes, Finian's Rainbow, Guys and Dolls, Damn Yankees, How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Nine, 1776 and Chicago. And many, many more. What a storied palace.

Posted: 7/22/09 at 10:45pmI love that theater! I've sat all over in there and never found myself really uncomfortable. I do find it funny that people are complaining about it being too hot in there as it's usually freezing.

Posted: 7/23/09 at 1:37pmOi, I sat in the rear mezz this past May and was amazed by how uncomfortable the seats were back there. I don't remember having that problem the year before in centre orch... And I haven't grown at all.

The seats def. are uncomfortable here. Last year I was in row like J I think and there was NO leg room at all and it was very aggravating.
What r yalls opinions on leg room/comfortableness at Al Hirschfeld, Marquis, and Brooks Atkinson - so I know what to expect?
re: The Richard Rodgers Threatre...Ick#35
Posted: 7/23/09 at 8:33pmwhen I saw Tarzan, I thought the seats were kinda comfortable (But then again I was 13 when I saw it so maybe I don't rememeber it as well.) I might just have to sit in front row mezz for the leg room because i am really tall and I had problems at the Barrymore for Exit the King

Posted: 7/24/09 at 10:43amThe Marqis is probably the best for leg room. The Hirshfeld I remember being okay for Curtains, but the balcony cut off my view of the stage from my rear orchestra seat. I've never been in the Brooks Atkinson (but that will change soon).
