The Selling of the President Musical

So, I'm obsessed with this song "Stars of Glory" and googling around and asking people, I figured out it's from the musical The Killing of the President. But I cannot find any information on it. How is the rest of the score? What's the show about? Did it ever play Broadway? Do I have the wrong show?

Slightly - the title is The Selling of the President.

The Selling of the President did play on Broadway for five painful performances.
It was a shambles. It thought it was horrible thoughout. It dealt with how presidents are marketed to get elected.

Karen Morrow talks a bit about it in the book Sing Out, Louise. Not a happy experience for her or the audience.

Interesting. I love the song, and it has a great melody and sounds a bit like Les Miz. I'll have to google the rest.

The original book (as in hard-cover) by Joe (FATAL VISION) McGinnis is justifiably famous.
