Has anyone seen this yet? The Sound Of Music Live - UK version

I see where it is being release on DVD/Blu Ray on November 6, 2018. Just from those clips it looks far superior to the US version.

Wow it’s a good few years since this was on but it was beautiful. The casting was perfect and it was all very nostalgic and evocative. Loved it. Don’t know why they ceased doing the live musicals

I've only seen it once but remember thinking it was "Masterpiece Theater meets Rodgers and Hammerstein". I recall it being a somewhat "dry" presentation.

I agree! The US version looked a bit under rehearsed, but it was joyful. The UK version looked a bit more realistic, and save for Maria Friedman who couldn't sing her role, it had a solid cast, but it was totally devoid of any joy.
