I wish I had flew out before they started cancelling flights! Then I could of had an extended stay in New York!!

^ jsyk that comment about being "COOL" was meant for YOU and for you saying you can wait for your trip and get the people in backlog on a flight first. i know it is the right thing to do when one is flexible, but not many people would.

I cant even begin to imagine what people are going thru to get home or work or whatever else in this dire mess. This is now a world effecting situation.
I have different groups of friends scattered across Europe, some on their own, some with kids, on holidays that have been told they probably have at least 7 days until they can get home.
Now why didn't I get stuck in Rio, Sydney, New York, San Fran- ANYWHERE!
I just hope 'The Addams Family' is still running when I do get to NYC.

There were these two English chaps having lunch in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

I was supposed to flying to Sydney tonight but alas it isn't to be, am totally gutted but at least I'm at home and feel for people who are stuck and hope this gets sorted. Getting a refund isn't a problem but rearranging time off isn't going to be easy.

I usually visit NYC in April and had looked into the possibility this year - slightly gutted that I haven't been stranded there this past week emailing my apologies to my boss from a cocktail bar.
Wonder how long before the airlines whack up the fares to cover their losses?

10pm Mion. They have just said another cloud has just been released from the volcano and will now effect transport even longer now, possibly Fri or Sat at the earliest!

I have to drive all the way to Dover to pick up my parents, who should hopefully be arriving from Calais on the train. They've been stranded in Europe for a week now, after having a few days away in Prague - annoyingly, they were due back on the Thursday the Ash decided to appear! Sucks for my mum, as she was meant to start work back this week (though they did get upgraded in their hotel).
Everything in life...is only for now.

Im in the UK and cant get home. I now have 8 drifting people staying in my Madrid apartment!!! I do hope they know how to use the dish washer thats all!
