I wish I hadn't been eating my tea when Lucy Owen said that in her head nodding dramatic way. Why must BBC Wales try to claim everything as Welsh? I bet you they've spent all afternoon looking for some way to tie us to that bloody volcano and make us important in this event.

There is a place called Mountain Ash boyo, my extended family come from near there, the other valley though (Merthyr Valley).
There is also a small town called 'Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.'
Let me make it known, that I cheated and had to Goggle that name, just in case you thought I knew and happened to be clever enough to spell it properly first time, well let me make it known I did use a search engine, just wanted to stop anyone being surprised at any assumption I had a brain cell.

No flight availability until Monday! In the Bar à Vin trying various glasses of wine. The latest one smells like Tipp-Ex but tastes like honey! Could be worse!

Earlier today BA cancelled my booking and I get a full refund.
I had to explain a little to them that I was not restricted by any dates etc and that by us not going we would open up seats that others could use who are caught in the backlog from hell! The poor soul on the phone couldn't, at first, grasp what I was saying. Then the penny dropped.
Very pleased with BA even tho they still have a full bag of my luggage, they usually do come up trumps.
So the Big Apple will now have to wait a few more weeks until I get to stroll its avenues.
Now, what to see tomorrow night in London town???

Mama, I am sad but not surprised your trip to New York has been cancelled, but hope you will be out there soon, also hope you do not end up out of pocket with accommodation and pre paid theatre tickets?
This volcanic cloud is expected to last over Europe for 4-5 days, so it looks like we will not have flights until Thursday at the earliest. I am due to fly out to Washington on 14th May and even I am starting to worry now.
Got a colleague who is stranded in Florida, advised him to kill time by learning to say 'Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch'.

Have been following this here in the states (Denver, CO) on CNN. So sorry your trip is delayed Mama.
This looks awful. They said last night that at least the ash won't harm humans. The awful news is that the other volcano (About 8 miles away from the one errupting now) may errupt like it did the last time this one did. Hang in there Europe.

Today, for the first time they are saying that this may cause health problems a lot sooner than thought.
Luckily I have not payed out a penny for accommodation (always stay with friends) and no tickets bought (comps or cheap on the day)
Im pretty happy with how it has turned out-for now.
