I'm a big fan of the movie CAMP, so how about this cast:

Dorothy: Sasha Allen(How Shall I See You)
Scarecrow: Steven Cutts (How Shall I see You)
Tin Man: Michael McElroy (Big River)
Lion: Billy Porter (Grease! Revival)
Glinda: Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe's Cafe)
Evilene: Mary-Bond Davis (Hairspray)

OK i have some other names like Lillias White because when will she have a chance to come back and wow us all again like this show?

Anika Noni Rose, been mentioned many times, but a far better choice. Im sorry but Sasha can sing, but she cant act her way out of a cardboard box. Plus she gave a very unenthusiastic performance in BARE another Dodger produced show, so i would highly doubt shed ever get this offer. But thats a good thing

GO ANIKA!

Of course that is if this show happens, has anyone else heard anything cause its just kind of fallen off the map lately

I'd love for Anika to star in this one, but I thought she turned it down...

Billy Porter would be great, too. How about Jerry Dixon for someone (from tick, tick...BOOM!)

Brenda Braxton is seriously such a perfect choice. She really is amazing. Her voice is just incredible.... I will be a little upset if shes not casted... I really hope they get her.

Where did you hear Anika turned it down? I hadn't heard anything like that.

As for Mary Bond Davis, I say a prayer every night before I go to bed that she will be cast in this show.

The actual casting hasnt even started so she didnt turn it down. Tara Rubin will be doing it, thats all i know.

As for Anika turning it down, refer to above, but seriously if she turned this down with only 1 supporting credit on her resume, silly silly girl.

They dont have a theatre, any dates, a creative team, nothing. So we will all have to wait a bit for casting. This is why i asked, does anyone know the deal, i havent heard boo about it, just know none of the above has been announced

mary told me that she has no plans for the wiz, for now she's in hairprsy till april.

damn, if cast and and directed correctly - this can be amazing.

michael, billy, brenda, mary...god, the possibilites are yummy!
jerry dixon is great too, but he doesn't really perform anymore - he has switched his focus to directing. not to say, that he wouldn't give this opportunity a shot.

But I won't live alone in a house of regret.

So I haven't heard if they have a choreographer or a music director, I do know that the original writer and the composer are both on board. As far as Sasha Allen goes she did a great job acting in BARE in my opinion. Especially since her role wasn't very featured. Her voice would do wonders with HOME. And Steven Cutts looks the part of the Scarecrow and can really sing. I agree Lilias White would be great in this show too.
