The Wedding Singer Tour Site#1

Posted: 7/3/07 at 1:07am

Okay, I did a search for this topic and couldn't find anything, so if this was already posted don't shoot me. Anyways, I was wondering if they had a website up for the tour yet, and if the casting has been announced yet. I am really excited for this, and since this show is not schedueled to stop in Chicago yet I am going to have to drive to Indianapolis to see it. Which is a little of a bummer, but I want to see this show so bad I am more than willing to travel for a couple of hours and pay for gas to see it.

I don't think it has one, try ticketmaster for dates though, or check your local theatre's schedule, it will play in Fort Lauderdale, where I live, for sure.

As far as casting goes, I believe it is cast (at least partially).

yeah, any info. would be great. I really hope Stephen will be reprising... but I will not get my hopes up, since that rarely happens.

Yeah, I doubt he'd go back to do a non-equity version of the show--considering he said he planned *not* to return to Broadway (as the 8 show a week thing was a little much for him, I guess). Aw, I completely forgot about Stephen... I miss TWS. re: The Wedding Singer Tour Site I hope it's coming to Dallas--and I think it will! It's going to Houston for sure...

I know it is fully cast, but it has not yet been announced. They start rehearsals in August.

What is the criteria that is used when determining what theatres the show will play in. I live in PA right over the Jersey border and we have a great State Theatre, and we barely get any touring b-way shows, although we did just have CATS there last month.

Stephen will NOT be reprising his role in TWS as he is going to be touring the country doing his comedy act.

And though I loved TWS...I love his comedy more.

Baltimore is a little to far to travel for this show. Thanks for the info though.

IT'S GOING TO PROVIDENCE IN FEBRUARY? YES! I actually live in the Boston area, but I see shows in Providence too.

damn it... I should be in LA starting January so I will miss my chance to see it in Providence. That really upsets me, but I should check the west coast dates.

I really hope they add more stops to their list later, because they are not comming to Chicago!! Although I will drive to go see them on their Indianapolis stop if more stops are not added later, I'd just rather not pay for gas to get there and back.

Im sure more cities are going to be announced soon. The Tour will play a Fort Myers theatre, yet it's not posted on broadwayacrossamerica.com yet.

As far as I know, the closest the tour is coming to me is Kansas City (which is only about 2 1/2 hours south of me).
