The casting is on point (except for mary j blige, and ne-yo but we will see how they do.) Fatima robinson is doing the choreography. Fatima is one of the best choreographers in the game and her choreography is amazing. Two-time Tony winner Stephen Oremus will serve as music director, orchestrator and co-producer of the music, Harvey Mason Jr. will serve as music producer of the show. Derek McLane will do the set designs, paul Tazewell will do the costume designs. every character will have a new vision. Harvey fierstein is revising the original book. he kept the structure of the musical and he added characters and made it more emotional. and he also enhanced the humor. and cirque du soleil is co producing it. they are an amazing act and with them during the tornado, flying monkeys scenes etc. this show will be visually stunning. rehearsals start in 3 weeks and they have 2 months to practice it. they need to practice this to the grave and make sure everything is on point. NBC better get this right. I really hope this will blow all of the other live musicals out of the water.
The bar is pretty low for that to be true, though...

i'm pretty sure they will do a great job with it.
I'm certainly most excited about this one over the other two.

It shouldn't be too hard for The Wiz to be better than the last two. Why don't you like Mary J Blige's casting? She's incredibly talented!

cause she has a very strong voice for the part but she is not a strong enough actress to play the part.

Never seen her act in anything so I will give the benefit of the doubt. Has she actually done any acting?

She's had a singsongy quality when delivering lines before, but she's no Jennifer Hudson. Thank god.
