Carol, Gloria & Tallulah

Post photos of your favorite golden age and contemporary stars. It might be fun to try to keep it mostly of shows/actors from before the year 2000, before this generation was really old enough to appreciate Broadway and plays/musicals in general, as a sort of history lesson. Candid shots, Playbills, movie stars at theater opening nights, theater stars at movie premiere, caps of theater actor's in their few movie roles, summer stock productions, regional productions, etc. are encouraged.

Good sources for photos:
Search "carol Channing tumblr" on google
Just replace carols name with someone else's to find photos of them
Or search "broadway 1975 a chorus line tumblr"
And you can search different shows and years

Sophia Loren and Jayne Mansfield. Mansfield had Broadway credits and won the Theatre World Award for Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter.

Gloria Swanson poses amid the ruins of the Roxy Theater, one of great film palaces. It opened in 1927 with The Love of Sunya, starring Swanson. I'm sure I don't need to tell you what show this photo inspired.

James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor. Early in his career, Dean did television and theater in New York and Taylor late in her career starred in Private Lives on Broadway.
