Perhaps the cruelest of all diseases, especially for those in the theatre where communication is paramount.

She is now living in a Memory Care facility, as revealed by her husband, the great filmmaker & lovable curmudgeon Paul Schrader.

Very sad news.  She was unforgettable as Joey, the uptight, bitter sister in Woody Allen's underrated Interiors and also as the lead in the recently rediscovered Chilly Scenes of Winter.

I wish I could have seen her play Julia in A Delicate Balance alongside Stritch and Harris.  It's a tricky role and I'm sure she was great in it.
