Looks like another big revival recording cut the act 1 finale (like 20th Century). Likely cut in favor of including Small House. I would have preferred having the act 1 finale.
Ugh, also don't see the Hello Young Lovers reprise.
Sorry, just saw that this was discussed in the reviews thread.

NO how in God's name could the cut the Hello Young Lovers reprise? This is criminal.
The ONLY reason I want or need another recording of THE KING AND I (a show I love, but hardly R&H's richest vocal score) is if it contains "Small House of Uncle Tom."
I have doubts that it's even the real tracklist, I'll wait for a confirmation from Decca Broadway.
Well it is included on the London revival recording, film soundtrack, and a truncated version on the 1964 Lincoln Center recording. I don't find it that interesting on a recording. I much rather hear the act one finale and Young Lovers reprise.
Fair enough. I only have the OBCR. Like I said, not that interesting a score to me, although it is the show/movie that caused me to fall in love with musical theater. Maybe I played it too often as a child, but "Getting to Know You" and "Whistle a Happy Tune" are just a step above "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" to my ear.
