I really don't like what they have done with broadway.com I much prefer the old verison. I like looking at star files and seeing what shows they were in. We should tell them to go back to the way it was before.

They tried this new format a few weeks ago, nobody liked it
I remember this being discussed before.
Their primary goal is to sell tickets, so they based the design of the page around that.
That is why the best-selling shows have the biggest pictures on the page with a link to buy tickets. All the other material is just secondary to Broadway.com. This website is for people who don't want to do the ticket searching themselves. I bet you tons of people who don't know any better and want to buy tickets type in "broadway.com" into their search bar.

I actually really like it. It's a lot cleaner and sleeker looking. The old design screamed 2001. This one seems a lot more focused and organized.

I hope it's temporary like last time.

It used to be their photographers covered all the major Broadway events. I used to visit it regularly. Now the website is fairly irrelevant.
Good for them that they make the money selling the tickets. If I had the URL broadway.com, I'd be milking it for all it is worth too.
The only criticism I have is that they should have less scrolling.
I really don't like it either, maybe its that I'm so used to the old layout, I just find it hard to navigate and it even seems less informative, but that might just be me. I get that they want to sell tickets, but I think they are losing some of their informative value with the new setup, and that's what a lot of people go on it for as well.

I know they are all about selling tickets now, but I really miss their reviews. In today's world of shrinking media outlets, it would have been nice not to lose that one. Now they are so PC, they don't want any negativity towards shows that could be advertising.

The layout was temporary last time, and I get the feeling that it's probably temporary this time as well (Boy do I hope I'm right. It's such an ordeal to navigate that site with such a strange layout.).
I'm afraid I gave up on Broadway.com long ago. It used to be the go-to place for Broadway info - now it just looks like one big advertisement. Give me Broadwayworld.com any day!
The new design is less garish and cleaner, looks better and I second hotjohn-who even goes on broadway.com anyway? I assumed it was for tourists who didn't know any better.
Huh, tourists, who needs 'em? BTW, Bettyboy72, your pic is so hot, I could be turned! (I'm guessing that's not actually you).
