"Some People" most days and sometimes "Good Morning Baltimore"....and I too, do the opening drum sequence in my head, followed by belting out the whole song. Damnit! Why can't there be a good guy role like Tracy Turnblad?

Oh my Lord!!! "Balbec by the Sea" is the WORSE song to get stuck in your head! Seriously, it haunts you... and escapes your mouth at the most inopportune times!!! *looks at CJR, fearfully remembering*
Recently, "I'm Not Afraid" has been getting stuck in my head and I somehow always end up belting "A Call From the Vatican" on the street... don't ask why, don't ask how... I'm not quite sure. I always end up singing "Not For the Life of Me" whenever around Times Square/Chelsea as well. *sigh* I suppose as long as it's not the Upper West Side, all's good.

Me too for "Not for the Life of Me" even the Chinese version. I'm hooked on TMM

I just go the cast recording of "Nine" so I've been alternating between that and "Annie Get Your Gun."
"My Husband Makes Movies" is a great song. What a voice that Mary Stuart Masterson has.
I've been singing "Jimmy" from TMM since I came home today.
Today it was "A Call From the Vatican." I found myself having some trouble with the high note though *sigh* but I will blame that on the frozen water I was drinking.
Inevitably "Memory" pops into my head--and I don't know why. I don't necessary have a passion for CATS, but there it is. I finally gave in and started singing it in the shower every so often--sometimes imitating Betty Buckley.
TMI? =)

Were you singing the Jane version? Because that's only an A... the original arrangement goes up to a high C at the end.
Still angry that JANE could have it transposed, but MY musical theatre teacher wouldn't HEAR of taking it down a third for me...ah, well.... if you can hit I suppose you just have to go for it, eh?

Now I am singing songs from Linda's new cd all the time. If He Never Said Hello, Smile, The Man Who Got Away, Storybook, and of course, a song I sing in shows, When I Look at You
I always have The Confrontation from Miss Saigon stuck in my head. Always. *sigh* Someone help me get it out of my head!
Daisy... Yes, it was the Jane version. I really need to pick up the original recording one of these days. I was aware that the music was transposed for Jane, but I wasn't sure of the actual notes. So thanks. :)
And you know you can hit the high C! I'm rooting for ya. :)
I find myself humming "Don't Marry Me" from FDS. It's odd, because I am not a R&H fan...but I guess they must have done something good to have this stuck in my head.
"The Ladies Who Lunch" is a favorite of mine, always floating about ready to be sung.

"I Put My Hand In" usually starts my day off. However any and all tunes from TWHM make guest appearances in my brain throughout the day.
Has RENT been filmed? Someone made a reference to the RENT "soundtrack". When did this come about?

the song Man from The Full Monty...and I'd have to say I feel a little strange singing out loud that "I'm a real genuine man!"

I always seem to find myself singing "Good Morning Baltimore" (Hairspray), "(Don't It Go To Show) Ya' Never Know!" (Little Shop), and "Muscle Addiction" (from "Naked Boys Singing" - even though it's not actually *on* Broadway)...

This is Off-Broadway too, but the song Marathon from Jacques Brel is stuck in my head. They have been playing it on Sirius frequently lately, and I can't get it out of my head. It was espically horrible last night while I was listening to
ESPN Radio. Every thime they would describe the Yankees-Red Sox doubleheader as a marathon, all I could hear in my head was "Mara, Mara, Marathon". it was driving me nuts!
Recently, run freedom run from Urinetown. Once I start singing it I can't get it out of my head.
