I always have a Broadway song in my head. Tops in the rotation are:
- Tops lately is "It's Your Wedding Day" from TWS (well most of the songs on that cast recording are always in my head) - That song from Little Women -- "If you saw come with me off to Massachusettes, then to Massachusettes we will go ...." - "Stars and Moon" from Songs for a New World - opening drum sequence of "Good Morning Baltimore" - "Show off" from Drowsy - The typing test song from Millie is always in my head too. - "IF you were gay" from Avenue Q (it's one of my ringtones when a friend calls) - SEASONS OF LOVE -- that song will forever be in my head and my heart.
"Champagne makes me drowsy!"
WORDS TO LIVE BY:
As we stumble along on life's funny journey. As we stumble along into the blue. We look here and we look there, seeking answers anywhere. Never sure of where to turn or what to do.
Still we bumble our way through life's crazy labyrinth. Barely knowing left from right nor right from wrong. And the best that we can do is hope a blue bird, will sing his song as we stumble along.
A happy happy family! A HAPPY HAPPY FAAAAMMIILLLLY!!!
sorry, Bernarda Alba moment
"Picture "The View," with the wisecracking, sympathetic sweethearts of that ABC television show replaced by a panel of embittered, suffering or enraged Arab women" -the Times review of Black Eyed
"I wish you could meet my girlfriend---my girlfriend who lives in Canadaaaa!" It's driving me crazy---I listened to the Avenue Q CD last night in the car---long drive--and now I can't stop thinking of that song. Thank-U John T!!!!!!!!!! :)
These days, it's "Never Met A Man I Didn't Like" from The Will Rogers Follies. That theatre in Norwell I'm always talking about did a production which closed today and it was amazing.

"Not a chance for my career to advance and there's no straight guys here for me to romance." This lyric from [title of show] has been in my head all day! It was sadly appropriate at work today.... Updated On: 8/20/06 at 08:32 PM
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...
What did she realize, Kitten?
That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs.
What's wrong with that?
Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had...
Where?
On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.
Anytime any hint of "One" from A Chorus Line shows up, I can't stop singing that song. I also get "No One Is Alone" from Into the Woods and "Not While I'm Around" from Sweeney Todd stuck up there a lot as well.
"Who says you can't bend over backwards and eat bugs if you want to? I guess the bugs would probably say you can't do that that, but assuming that they are willing and consenting bugs, then there's no problem. Let's wig out eating bugs."
-RuPaul
i work with a girl named tempestt who wears a stop watch, every time i see her i get "think of the time i save" stuck in my head; particularly the "tick tock tick tock tempest fuget"s
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Life sucks, get a pacifyer~my own saying
"Once upon a time, When I first held your hand and love was not a crime... In a private world where you said don't look down, But then I did and now you're lost... Above me."
It's beautiful... but it always gets stuck in my head!
"I am unfinished- I am diminished
With or without you..."
okay I got more than a couple (be patient with me on this)
1. Rosalind Russell singing the crap out of "Rose's Turn" and "You'll Be Good, You'll Be Great" - I just used to listen to that over and over and over. I loved that movie Gypsy...(but back to broadway shows...)
2. "A Note From Linda" - "Let Me Come Home" (Wedding Singer) - this may sound funny but I walk around singing YOU COULD HAVE BEEN IN MOTLEY CREW, A DAVID LEE ROTH REPLACEMENT....
3. Seasons of Love - I have been humming this tune for the past 10 years and watching Tracy Thoms just nail it in the movie...amazing.
4. The "I Love You" song from Spelling Bee, I listen to this song over and over and over....
5. "It's Good To Be Home" - Norbert singing the crap out of it in Thou Shalt Not. Ohhh I love it!!
Okay...the list could really go on and on.
I made a list of all your faults, it was quite detailed and lengthy too and when I read it through I missed you. Your like a classic Eagles song, you just cant help but sing along even though it sometimes gets annoying too. I just know I want to be wherever I can wake and see you there next to me. **High Fidelity**
Love is what I do **The Wedding Singer**
Xanadu - Best NEW Musical of the Season!
The Overture from Sweet Charity which leads to Big Spender, There's Gotta Be Something Better Then This, and finally Sweet Charity.
Dirty Rotten Number, DRS Stars and the Moon Holding to the Ground, Fallsettos Rose's Turn, but I have to sing the whole song Wheels of a Dream, Ragtime
it seems like I wake up every monring with "Happy New Year B" from Rent in my head, just at the part where Benny shows up, until the end of the song.
"I can't figure out what kind of life this is, comedy or tragedy, I just know it's showbiz. And what if I don't agree with the lines I have to read? They don't pay me enough, the way I see it."
