So was anyone who saw the show surprised at the outcome of the mystery?
re: The outcome of Curtains-SPOILER FREE#2
Posted: 12/10/07 at 11:03amI was a bit surprised by the very end. Saw it last Wednesday afternoon.

Posted: 12/10/07 at 11:06amYeah, who'd have thought there were two of them.

Posted: 12/10/07 at 11:14amive always felt that the outcome of the murder mystery was really kinda an afterthought. I didn't expect it, but I honestly wasn't tat involved with it. I was to busy enjoying the songs. The show is kinda too lightweight to really be taken that seriously. Regardless i think that the show is so fun that it doesn't matter one way or another.

Posted: 12/10/07 at 2:09pmI thought the leniency (sp?) shown to the "surprise" suspect was rather unrealistic.
re: The outcome of Curtains-SPOILER FREE#7
Posted: 12/10/07 at 2:47pmThat's right. I said that there's TWO of them. And that's all I'm saying.
re: The outcome of Curtains-SPOILER FREE#8
Posted: 12/10/07 at 2:52pmBut Matt, that's a spoiler in a thread that is marked in the heading as "SPOILER FREE". You might want to change your thread title to say "NOW WITH SPOILERS!"

The fact that there's two of them really is a spoiler. I'd suggest changing the title.
Anyways, I was definitely surprised! I really thought it was someone else.

Just saw the show this past weekend and had a delightful time.
The show so clearly wants you to believe one person is the guilty party that you know it can't be the real one. But yes, the "surprise" ending was a surprise.

Posted: 12/11/07 at 11:51amI wanted it to be Sasha, the conductor. I really thought it would be.
re: The outcome of Curtains-NOW WITH SPOILERS#13
Posted: 12/11/07 at 1:12pmI thought it was the conductor for a bit also. But that became too obvious, as did one certain other character.

I REALLY thought it was Lieutenant Cioffi, for about 3/4 of the show...
How embarassing.
re: The outcome of Curtains-NOW WITH SPOILERS#15
Posted: 12/11/07 at 1:43pmThat's funny. At the stage door one of the actor's was asking these two girls who they thought it was and they said the conductor too. I never thought of that. Good idea.

Posted: 12/11/07 at 4:46pmI was really disappointed by the fact that the mystery's solution wasn't more exciting. I really love mysteries, and I agree with the above post that it was kind of an afterthought. It's what tipped the show for me from good to just OK.
re: The outcome of Curtains-NOW WITH SPOILERS#17
Posted: 12/11/07 at 4:52pmReally? The first part of the solution might be somewhat expected, but the second usually elicits some audible gasps of surprise.
re: The outcome of Curtains-NOW WITH SPOILERS#18
Posted: 12/11/07 at 5:24pmI gasped at the second solution. I actually said "oh my!" out loud.
