The word FIERCE on Broadway

Any ideas on when it was first used like it is now?
A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

I think it's actually been co-opted from the outside Broadway world. I've heard kids at school use it for a while now (and even back closer to 2000 with youth groups).

Gays have been using it for decades so it just may have originated ON Broadway.

There's a great chance it did. re: The word FIERCE on Broadway
