I find it unusual that they're airing the predictions the day before/of the Tonys. They've never done that as far as I've been watching them.

I too am kinda surprised that their tony guesses are this late. Did anyone see the episode with Jeff Daniels...he was on fire.

I really enjoyed Jeff Daniels's interview. I really respected what he was saying. If you can't do Broadway, then don't do it. I'm seeing him in Blackbird tonight and I am super excited.

According to their promos, the Tony predictions show will air:

Monday June 6 at 530 PM on WLIW 21

 

Friday June 19 at 130 AM (Saturday morning)--Channel 13

Sunday June 12 at 1130 AM--Channel 13

 

Saturday June 11 at 830 PM--CUNY TV

Sunday June 12 at 1230 and 730 PM--CUNY TV

The Tony predictions episode aired last night and that is what this thread is in reference to. Most predicted 10 for Hamilton except for Green who predicted 8. They also thought The Color Purple would get best revival and Frank and Jessica would win the best actor and actress.

They allowed Susan to speak which I thought was nice considering Michael usually talks over her. Susan was wearing a campy wig and Musto was his usual quick witted self.

I believe at one time they ousted all critics and journalists, but they've brought a smaller group of them back into the fold.
