Ugh muscle.....for the 100th time. You liked Bombay Dreams so your opinion holds no merit. Begone before someone drops a Joshaba the Green Jew on you.
That might be the funniest thing I've ever read.
And why is this any different than an actor being reviewed for their performance onstage? This kid put himself out there on a website that everyone can access and watch, just as an actor puts himself out there when he's performing. If you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen.... in other words if the kid can't take criticism then he should never have posted this dum video in the first place. For pete's sake, we have every right to say this kid is an idiot. You have every right to say you enjoyed it. I'm just tired of these ridiculous arguments.
Count me in with the "give the kid a break" crowd. Youtube is not the Broadway stage. 95 percent of what is posted on there is total excrement. It's the modern-day equivalent to hanging your art on mom's refrigerator with magnets. When the neighbors come by and see the picture with a green sun and tree with purple leaves, they nod politely and move on. It's not an invasive medium. You'd never see it unless you were searching specifically for it.

When I see finger paintings hanging on people's refrigerators I'm merciless in my criticism.
If you put yourself up on the internet you are begging to be critized. You just hope all you get is love !
Like this video is funny, nto just because he is one of a 1000 people to do one but because he made it his own. It shows how much of a ridiculous craze this wicked crap is.....
**Runs to put on 8 dresses, sets up video camera and starts to sing Drowy Chaperone**
How is this different than anyone else singing like a bafoon.
And more importnatly how was *I* the first one to rate him?
this is just a good old fashioned case of Schadenfreude
Begging for criticism, yes, but how long did it take for that criticism to center around his appearance and his sexuality (something I'm sure he gets from gaggles of bullies already)? I have no idea how old this kid is, but I think it's pretty safe to say he's not at the age of better judgment. And while I can bash people with the best of them -- I don't know. In these cases, it feels like heckling at the Special Olympics.
It is almost to easy, Calvin?
I actually think his voice is not that bad. Though the song choice, well, that is another issue.
But, hell, he sings better than I can. True, that is not saying much, but maybe this is one of the few ways he has of getting feedback. Hell, I heard worse songs last night on American Idol. (Mary J. Blige - what was up with her?).
Yes. (to BwayBaby)
To get into a show, even community theater, you have to survive an audition process. Any goon with a camera can post something on Youtube. I would never go there looking for the purpose of being entertained by a good performance. And while it is fun to see people making fools of themselves, I just don't see the need to pile on afterward.
eta: I feel the same sort of unease when American Idol has these obviously mentally ill auditioners on to be the subject of ridicule. I'll admit I laugh. But I don't feel good about doing it.

Did anyone else see WB's Superstar were they picked the Worst singer but they thought they were the best..... i loved that show!!!!!!
OK, I'll admit I watched that show. But they really copped out at the end.
In that case, they were totally deserving of ridicule. What sort of idiot would think a legitimate show would air on the WB and have Tone Loc and Vitamin C as judges?

I love Wicked, but this is the problem when a show that gets TOO BIG...every kid thinks they're Elphaba...literally. I'm not sure if it's ego or disillusionment, but do they really expect people to take them seriously? This guy's got more youtube "tracks", did you listen to "No Good Deed"? Maybe he's just doing it for fun, but I'm worried if I say he wasn't too bad, he'll read this thread and his ego will tell him he's ready to audition for Elphaba. If you do it alone in your bedroom fine, but when you publically post over the Internet, sadly, you're only setting yourself up to be laughed at.

I'm probably going to hell for contributing to this post, but... This kid is 20 years old- YIKES.
Click on the link below and read the descriptions- he posts his age.
He Ain't No Teenager
20? OK. My sympathy level just slid down about 30 points.
From the producers of the successful hit tour "Sound of Music Sing-A-Long" brings you, "Wicked Sing-A-Long" get your tickets today before they...defy gravity!
oh, I can just see it now...
HAHAHAHAHA
Thank you for posting this.
It made my day and preoccupied me from doing a term paper.
I mean, I feel bad laughing at the kid-but when you put yourself out there in THAT way (and someday he'll say to me Joshua..)-then you have to expect it.
I quit after talent.
I tried... really I did. But I just couldn't make it through.
But I give him an "A" for sheer guts and a "B" for unbridled (if a bit misguided) effort.
Answer to question of why is he posting that on the Internet for all to see? The same reason we are all on the Internet now, posting our opinions, our jabs, our attempts at humor or personal creative musings. It’s an attempt (of sorts) to reach out to the world at large.
I don't think most people truly realize how "open" they are when they PUBLISH things on the Web. That's exactly what each of us is doing when we hit "upload" or "Post Message," etc. It is literally out there for the entire world to see.
The entire world.
I chose to live my life openly. I always think twice about what I say, but I'm not afraid to speak my mind or "put it out there." That doesn’t mean I don’t put my foot in my mouth on a regular basis. I can only hope that "young Joshua" feels the same way here, and realizes just what he's doing.
As long as he does... then all is fair in love and war. And he's entitled to hit “send” just as much as any of the rest of us.

Ahh make the madness stop.
The video was halarious.
The probelm is too many people think they could sing good songs even when their voices suck, I thought I could do a perfectly good immatation of Idina Menzel, The Wizard And I. After I reccorded myself a few times, I kinda relized that if I would sing this again, it would be in my mind.
Someone needs to tell this guy he can't sing this song. I would however like to see him reccord a video of him doing No One Mourns The Wicked. Him as Glinda, obviously.
Wow...I think my computer was as annoyed and disgusted as I was...cuz it definitely wouldnt let me finish the entire song...not that that's a bad thing. People need to stop, just stop, unless they want the Simon of Broadway to start leaving comments on their youtube sights. I mean c'mon folks.
The sad thing is that this guy is probably better at singing than most deluded Wicked fans.
20..... any guilt I felt has been erased.
**slaps Joshaba**
I just want to give CarlMagnum a big thank you. Not for posting the video, because I haven't watched it.
Thank you for using the term wickedidiots which I initially read as "wick-idiots" which I will be using frequently to describe the more "irrational" fans of the show.
Praise to CarlMagnum!
