Ha! It's so ridiculous. I'm trying to see if I can dig it up. I can't remember where I had to upload it (this was like a year or two ago, I guess). If I find it and I'm feeling shameless, I'll let you know!

Thanks, Newbie, but that sucked.

Those of us who have been around for a bit know that Nancy Wilton is the best...

Jennifer Holliday's "And I Am Telling You" in '82? Perfection.

Jennifer Holliday's "And I Am Telling You" recently? Not so much.

Unpopular opinion time: I like Tamyra Gray's version more than Jennifer Hudson's. Tamyra would obviously be wrong for the part, but she did sing the crap out of it in that H & M ad.

"Tamyra would obviously be wrong for the part"

Why?
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

Why would Tamyra be wrong? Because she's thin?

There've been serveral thin Effies, including a younger Lillias White, Sharon Brown and Julia McGirt/Nixon.

The Jennifer Hudson & Jennifer Holiday performance was possibly the worst thing I have ever seen. Does Holiday think all the growling sounds good? Personally I thought it was sad to see how much her performance of the song has changed since the Tonys in '82.
