More dates added, including some in Texas.
LOTS more to come...geez, one-nighters stink.

Posted: 7/4/05 at 12:41amThe girl who is playing Millie is a young lady by the name of Alex Ellis. She just graduated from college. Why do I randomly know this? I go to the school she just graduated from. She's a VERY talented girl, but likes to play the diva.

Posted: 7/4/05 at 3:47amI find it real interesting that quite a few of the performances are for only one night with the next day's performance in a different city, sometimes even in a different state. YIKES! Those bus and trucks must be pretty light to move that fast and still have enough time to strike the set in one state and set it up in another in less than 24 hours. Hmmm, just what kind of sets should one expect? Is the orchestra a fair size? Do the musicians travel with the show or just maybe a handful with new musicians picked up in the particular city they're playing in? I just watched the "Forget About the Boy" number from the Tony Awards show tonight and my partner and I agreed we needed a "Millie fix" but after seeing it twice on Broadway and having to travel 2 1/2 hours to see it when it hits the state I live in, I wonder if it's worth the effort and what I should expect. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Yikes;
That is quite a grueling our itinerary. I really feel for those non union actors. They are going to be worked to the bone and paid next to nothing.

Ya, most of the weeks there is not one day off.
I am sure they will be payed average, though.

Millie will be played by Alex Ellis. I work with talent in NYC and you need to remember her name because not only is she a triple threat but she has that certain "something" that lights up the stage. She is a 2005 graduate of the music theatre program at Elon University and an incredibly talented and sweet young woman.
