Go see this show. It is stunning.

I wish I could. Throne of Blood is my favorite Kurosawa, and Macbeth among my favorite Shakespeare works.

It is $25 well-spent. The show runs 90 minutes without an intermission.
I want to see this so badly.
How amazing would it be if they turned "Ran" into a stage production?
It's still the most inventive reworking of King Lear I have ever seen.
^ Be glad you didn't.

Amen. My friend saw it and told me that it absolutely sucks. Isherwood seems to agree.

I thought it was rather stunning visually, but rather boring and amateurishly acted.

It's really sad that OSF is representing themselves with this production in NYC. Their Hamlet this season was far and away the best I have ever seen, and frankly Throne of Blood was the worst show all season.
