#1 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/7/10 at 4:08pm Go see this show. It is stunning. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/07/theater/07throne.html?_r=1&ref=theater
#2 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/8/10 at 1:08pm I wish I could. Throne of Blood is my favorite Kurosawa, and Macbeth among my favorite Shakespeare works. With Irma you gotta do something!
#4 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/8/10 at 3:27pm The rear mezz is 25. "If my life weren't funny, it would just be true. And that would be unacceptable." --Carrie Fisher
#5 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/8/10 at 3:30pm It is $25 well-spent. The show runs 90 minutes without an intermission.
#6 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/8/10 at 5:08pm I want to see this so badly. How amazing would it be if they turned "Ran" into a stage production? It's still the most inventive reworking of King Lear I have ever seen.
#7 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/15/10 at 4:06pm ^ Be glad you didn't. http://familycircle.typepad.com/family-circle/2010/11/noh-noh-noh-noh.html
#8 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/15/10 at 4:11pm Amen. My friend saw it and told me that it absolutely sucks. Isherwood seems to agree. http://theater.nytimes.com/2010/11/12/theater/reviews/12throne.html
#9 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/15/10 at 4:17pm I thought it was rather stunning visually, but rather boring and amateurishly acted.
#10 Throne of Blood Posted: 11/15/10 at 5:07pm It's really sad that OSF is representing themselves with this production in NYC. Their Hamlet this season was far and away the best I have ever seen, and frankly Throne of Blood was the worst show all season.
