Simply put, Phantom doesn't do any worse on Thursday matinees than it did on Wednesday matinees, so there was no reason to move it back to Wednesdays.

Posted: 5/22/19 at 1:08pmThe York Theatre has Thursday matinees - right now Enter Laughing is playing through mid-June but they’re often a good option to round out a theatre-intense week. Join their mailing list to hear about readings and developmental stuff - those are usually at odd times and can be very interesting and make for a nice “bonus” experience to complement the Broadway shows.

Along with Monday performances, I really love how they are mixing it up with a Thursday matinee. That is when I am going to Moulin Rouge! in the Fall.

That happens to be the long weekend I will be in town so I am ecstatic to not only get to add an extra show but that one specifically! (Otherwise would have made a return trip to either "Phantom"
or "Play That Goes Wrong" - probably "Play..."![]()
"Gazillion Bubble Show" has an 11am show on Thursday and on Saturday so was thinking of adding it in too. Anyone seen it? Thoughts? Runt time? THANKS!"
I mean I saw it when I was 10 but it’s... a fun kids show? A guy gets up on stage and blows bubbles and talks about bubble machines. If you are into that I guess it would be fine but you would look weird to go as an adult with no children.
