Ticket Dilemma

Hey - I'm going to NY in a few weeks with my parents. We've got tickets to Tarzan, Sweeney Todd, Jersey Boys, Doubt, I Love You Because, and Maria Friedman @ Cafe Carlyle. We still have the Saturday night slot to fill. It's our last night there and we want to see a great show to bookend the trip. It's between Drowsy Chaperone and Spelling Bee. I've already seen the latter and loved it but I'd like to see Drowsy because it seems like it will be a front-runner at the Tonys this year. The problem is there are no discount codes that are valid for the Saturday evening show. We could see the matinee and put the code to use but we would much rather do a show in the evening. Should we get cheaper mezz seats for Drowsy at normal price, or should we make use of the Spelling Bee discount offer and have good seats? What do you think? Any help would be appreciated. I have to make this decision in the next hour.

re: Ticket Dilemma

Both shows are great but I think you should go for Drowsy Chaperone

re: Ticket Dilemma

I'd take the Drowsy tickets. You say you saw Spelling Bee -- so why not see something new? Plus, I agree with you. I'm thinking Drowsy will be a major part of the Tony's as well. I always like to be caught up with those things.

re: Ticket Dilemma

I really enjoy both, but I'd say go with Drowsy Chaperone, it will be something new, and as said, could quite possibly be a big part of the Tony's.
oy with the poodles already!

What about TKTS for Drowsy Sat evening? It's been up...I'm not sure if it's been up for Sat night's though.

Drowsey! Come on, seeing the ORIGINAL CAST is not something to be missed.

Even if you have the worst seats in the house you can still say, "I saw that! OBC!!!!"

re: Ticket Dilemma

Drowsey gets my vote. Even if there are no current discounts, you gotta see it!
...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...

Doubt is a play.
