Which one would you rather deal with, Ticketmaster or Telecharge?
Well, it's not like you can really pick and choose, since they each cover different shows. But I find Telecharge's website much easier to deal with.

I know I'm in the minority.....but ticketmaster. Their service charges are RIDICULOUS and I hate it, but I've always used them.
I agree with emcee, the telecharge website is more user friendly and gives you the option to search for the next available seats at the same performance if you don't like the first seats that it found.

Telecharge.
Ticketmaster charges you an additional $200 per ticket.
This is when I LOVE living in NYC. I just go to the box office. Don't have to deal with either! :)
eta.: I've never really had a problem with a box office worker unless I was asking about standing room at Beauty or a Saturday evening for a show I didn't know didn't have it. Of course, I'm not overly picky about where I sit so usually whatever they offer is fine with me.
Ticketmaster's software is ancient, and no one that uses it at the venues likes it either.

Taboo....its amazing that you can speak for everyone that works for the Broadway venues!
I live where I could go to the box office too but the internet is often much more pleasant than dealing with the box office people.
Anyway, I detest Ticketmaster with all my soul. I think its a horrible system and can't stand that you cannot look for different seats. Telecharge is much nicer.
Loathe Ticketmaster. Telecharge is MUCH better.
Telecharge.

never used telecharge..but jesus...ticketmaster...
a) charges far too much on service charges

Well, in my defense...only reason I said ticketmaster is because thats the only thing I've ever used (every show I've seen on Broadway is a ticketmaster show)
Telecharge all the way. It's way more user friendly than Ticketmaster, and it loads faster on my computer.
It's a good thing that the majority of theatres sell their tickets through Telecharge.
Ticketmaster is User-UNFRIENDLY.
*They pick and choose which shows you can do a multi-date search for, and even then, they only give you three search results.
*You're stuck with the one seat or set of seats they give you for one performance. No second choices.
*They pick and choose which shows you can be more specific regarding seat location selection in a search. You can select 1. Orchestra 2. Mezzanine 3. Balcony. There are rarely options for Center or Side.
*Those DARN seating charts. It's as though they draw a big square for each venue. There are no seats on the seating charts. Heaven forbid seats be identifiable on a seating chart.
*I paid $12.65 in service fees for my one YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ticket this morning.
*A show will announce its closing date and Ticketmaster will still be selling tickets to the show until the end of time.
I loathe Ticketmaster with a passion. And not just for Broadway shows, concerts too. I bought two tickets to a concert a few weeks ago and paid nearly $30 in extra fees. Ridiculous.
Ticketmaster is absolutely horrible. They do not allow you to see what other seats are available and their new "search multiple dates" feature is a joke.
Telecharge is great. Aside from the fees I have no problems with them. It's simple to see what other seats are available for a certain performance and you can search a month's worth of dates or more with ease. With Telecharge you can see what are the best seats for which days and then just go to the box office and buy accordingly, to get rid of the fees.
