Wow, the very end of the show is so intense, even just on DVD. I love it. Hearn and Lansbury really do pull through with the intensity in those scenes. I am on edge.

This idea makes me sick.
Why rape Sondheim and send it mainstream?
Oh god, they better not **** this one up.
Even if Johnny can sing, Sweeney is one of the most difficult scores ever written!

As if we need another colorful, cartoonish psuedo-gothic Hot-Topic generation picture for the phoney goths and emo kids to lap up and wear as their last-chance-for-originality patch.
Sweeney is too meaty, no pun intended, even for Burton and Depp.
No, just NO. Enough already.

That's AWFUL!!! This uneducated America is talking about "Sweetey" Todd, making jokes about something they don't understand, and disgracing a wonderful piece of work.
I hope that if Burton and Depp do end up with the film, they make a wonderful homage to Sondheim's original play, not destroy it in the process of making a movie.
