He's very versatile. re: Tim Howar in RENT

Loved him in Les Miz. Never pictured him grungy until he went that direction a few years ago. Still cute.

re: Tim Howar in RENT

I actually saw the show tonight, had no idea it was his first performance. I thought he did a great job. Awesome voice and he had good chemistry with Antonique Smith (Mimi). The show in general was in good shape. The current Joanne, Maureen and Mimi all have fantastic voices.

what kind of Roger is he? (In terms of anger, etc?)

re: Tim Howar in RENT

I still can't believe he's playing Roger. Tim Howar was THE worst Marius in Les Mis I've ever seen. He was so wooden, and his voice so stiff and unmusical...I just can't imagine THAT voice singing Roger's songs. Then again, maybe Roger is more his style, which is why he was so bad in Les Mis.

Oh well. Interesting!

His voice in Tonight's The Night made me want to burst my own eardrums.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

I guess I'll be seeing him March 12...thanks for the feedback, theatreguy! I was afraid that we'd have a Southern Roger on our hands...
