I thought Lloyd Webber's cat was writing the lyrics...?
This is great news. I hope ALW and Tim Rice will finish the whole piece soon.
**** *** ******* **** banana **** *** ******* cat **** Lloyd Webber.
That's basically how I feel about everything to do with this sequel.
Dear Mr. Lloyd Webber...
THAT CAT WAS A SIGN FROM GOD TELLING YOU TO STOP!!!
i love the story about the cat. I saw him tell it on Graham Norton. i laughed for about 15 minutes.

Glenn Slater, lyricist for Menken's new Mermaid, is the new lyricist for Webber. Slater is now in London doing workshop of Sister Act and then working with Webber on Phantom II.
Richard Maltby will now be writing the lyrics to the sequel of the Phantom of the Opera.
What a merry-go-round!
Maybe they can do a line each?
Better yet, ALW should try that up-and-coming lyricist, Stephen Sondheim!
I hear he wants to write scores.
I feel like sending ALW a box of cats, that way they can all run across his keyboard and delete this horrible idea again!
Charles Hart is so busy?
The idea for a sequel is lame, but I at least want to hear the score. The Woman in White was a flop but at least we got some good music out of it.
I'll take bets now on how many good songs there will be and where they will be placed.
There's good odds for a decent ballad halfway through the second act.
