I was browsing through articles online and found this.

"I've been obsessed with the play for years. It's the best musical ever," he said. "I also feel the message is really important in today's world."
Any thoughts?

It's like when Britney said that Wicked is the best thing ever and totally changed her life.

Well, then in his little world, that's "ever."
Thank GOD he's not in this movie. Pun intended.

Ugh. I would've hated if they actually went with pop stars for RENT.
Dear Adam Pascal,
THANK GOD FOR YOU.

Oh, Akiva, you forget that only uppity twenty year-olds are the true keepers of the High Art of musical theater and that they get together fortnightly and listen to show tunes and decide from on high which of the teeming masses are allowed to speak of, enjoy and participate in the High Art.
Then they talk about how hawt Adam Pascal is and giggle until their parents slam on the bedroom door and tell them to 'turn that crap down.'

I don't know about other twenty year-olds on this board, but this one has been working in the industry for four years now, and I'm paying my rent and tuition because of musical theatre.

Posted: 10/28/05 at 12:02amI don't know specifically about RENT (Except that he wanted to do the production, and was considered when Spike Lee was involved -- is that right?) -- BUT I know he does attend a lot of theatre in general as both his sister and father do quite a bit with a professional theatre company called Playhouse on the Square in Memphis. A friend has done several productions with the Timberlake family and has met Justin on several occassions due to his attendance.

Posted: 10/28/05 at 12:04amHe was considered way more recently than the Spike Lee version. This is going to turn out like that Justin Guarini thread, isn't it? That was fun.

Posted: 10/28/05 at 2:18amTimberlake was a showchoir and theatre nerd long before he became popular. I bet he spent much of his teen years listening to rent and talking about it nonstop with all his friends like kids do today with Wicked.

At least his lack of taste goes beyond women.
