I'm possibly going to New York this October (just in time for Bloody Bloody to open) and I can see one more show, but can't decide whether to see Time Stands Still (featuring one of my all time favorite actors, Brian d'Arcy James) or the phenomenal Next to Normal. Any suggestions?
NEXT TO NORMAL.
Time Stands Still. I don't know where you're from, but you might be able to catch the Next to Normal tour when it comes around.
TSS
TIme Stands Still.
If you can catch N2N on Tour, as a previous poster pointed out, then see the diving Alice Ripley and See TSS in NY.
BUT.....if you can't, then see N2N, instead. One of the great theatrical experiences in NY (or anywhere). I haven't heard too many raves about TSS.

My vote goes to n2n. Even if the tour is coming close to you, the new members of the cast are revelations. I've never seen it better than with Marin and Jason - even having seen it with Alice in the show.

N2N even if the tour comes near you. I saw Marin & Jason last Sunday and it was phenomenal. As a huge Alice fan I can't even believe I'm saying this but I don't think I've ever loved the show more. They are incredible. It's a must see!

Is Next to Normal phenomenal? I thought it was painfully bad. Still, it's a matter of taste. If you have a choice, see something you haven't seen yet. It sounds as if you haven't seen Time Stands Still yet. Have a good trip.

Alice is diving on the tour! Sounds like a true must see.
