Time for ------ to star in a musical again ...

My vote is for Will Chase.

I know he's got a secure gig with Billy, but I'd love to see him in a lead role again. The dude has a gorgeous voice, he can act, and, yes, he's easy on the eyes. But it's that voice of his that really gets me.

Your thoughts? On Will? On someone else you'd like to see headline a musical in the not-too-distant future?

Hah- before I even opened the thread, I had the same thought on Will Chase! The poor guy has such bad luck headlining shows though. Lennon AND High Fidelity?

I'd always like to see Raul Esparza back in a musical. Glad he's kept working in plays these past years, but I'd hope his vocal chords would have recovered after Company by now.

Personally, I'd like to see John Lloyd Young come back. I don't know what he's doing right now, but with all the talent he displayed in Jersey Boys, I hope he doesn't just turn out to be a one show wonder.

Audra McDonald, and it's happening-- just not in NY.

Sara Ramirez. Would LOVE to see her in the Evita revival.

Brian d'Arcy James. He was great in Time Stands Still, but that voice needs to be heard.

Katurian2, you got that right about Will having some bad luck. But, with the right material, I firmly believe he can knock just about anything out of the park.

I know he earned raves for his starring role in "Bells are Ringing." While it's not the sort of show I gravitate toward, I would have seen it to hear/see him had I been in NY then.

I just hope he takes a chance again on something great. Meanwhile, good to see all the suggestions. While I've heard of all those listed so far, I've yet to HEAR them all sing, and would like the chance.
