This is getting crazy! Was anyone there this time? Figured I'd post as Bway World seems to be the most up to date place for this type of breaking news.

It turned out to be just a pizza box. This really is getting crazy. Homeless people leave stuff all over the place all the time.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

First a cooler of water bottles... then a pizza box. What's next? A picnic basket? A bag of bagels? An empty slurpie cup?

I'm really ecstatic that the NYPD is on top of this, but... enough is enough.

Well, I know I'm not the only one thinking of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf." We don't need them slacking when it's real, again...

I think it is also hyper active tourists reporting these "Strange" packages.

Once the newness has died down, people will get used to it and will start to report things that are really suspicious. Having been close (50yards) to a real terrorist bomb - the first Harrod's bomb in 1974 - and then living through the IRA bombing campaigns and threats of the eighties and early nineties, I would rather have errors and small inconvenience than the carelessness that some of your flippant responses implies.
The IRA, for the most part, did not intend to inflict harm on civilians but rather cause maximum disruption and by that advance their political aims. The extremists targeting NY don't care about whether the target is innocent and want to kill people.
I make my living on Broadway and Off-Broadway and disruptions and evacuations will impact my life but I would rather have that than have people die.
FYI - IRA bombs were put in trash bins, in small plastic shopping bags, bicycle frames... Coolers are a perfect size.
