Has anyone stayed at the Times Square Pod Hotel? If so, how is it? Nice enough for a weekend theatre trip in January?
Thank you in advance!

I was there in October. The rooms are small, and there's no attached restaurant (just a bar I believe). But it was clean, well staffed, and they let us check in early. It served us well for a theater trip where we were mostly out all day.
Of the two "pod" hotels I've stayed in I prefer Yotel, but that tends to cost more. For the price, Pod Times Square worked nicely.
I haven’t stayed at the Times Square location but I stayed at the Pod 39 last month on 39th and 3rd and thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay. The room was small but had everything I needed. Exactly as advertised.

January weekend rates are often great at far pricier hotels fwiw
Pod 39 is vastly superior in all ways, from the staff to the cleaning to the margaritas at the bars.
Like Pod 39 very much, but Pod Times Square is all about location, location, location. I love it because it's just a block or two from all the Broadway action, yet less frantic than other TS hotels. Also love dining at Chez Josephine, just two doors down AND Ollie's Chinese across the street. Show your Pod room key and get 10% off your meals there. Great lunch selections at Ollie's...and the everything won ton soup is perfect for cold days. Also, check out The Little Pie Company on 43rd street for amazing mini-pies. Burp.

We just booked the Four Points Sheraton Times Square for $95/night in January. Wasn't planning a return trip that soon (we are coming in this weekend), but for those prices we couldn't pass it up! No idea what rate you are looking at but I thought I'd pass this info along in case it would be helpful to anyone.

I like YoTel, but admittedly I'm a vaporwave fan, and the whole place is a vaporwave aesthetic.

I stayed at the Pod on 51st and the one on 42nd and I prefer the one on 42nd just for of the location and all rooms are ensuite. My usual go to hotel is in Queens though. LIC Hotel. Cheap, clean, nice and a free breakfast. Only thing is half the time one or both subway lines to get there are not running.
If you're looking for a big room, then don't do it. But if you're on a budget and just need a bed in a place that is clean and feels comfortable and safe, this is a good choice and I'd totally go back and stay there again.
The room I was in had bunkbeds, not a double bed. That was perfect for my travel companion and me, but be aware that these are beds made for a single person.
And Times Square Pod does also have full-sized, more expensive rooms called Pod Pads.
