Posted: 10/9/06 at 10:39pmI got student rush tonight, last row of the theatre, and the entire mezzanine was full, to my surprise. The show was exactly an hour and a half. The performances were all great, the dancing was great, but I am not a fan of this show.

Get a ticket any way you can.
It is the most original show on Broadway right now and watch Twyla turn it into the Hit is was in San Diego.
And you can say you saw Michael Arden before he was a huge Star!

cause instead of going to English Class i was hoping a bus into NYC to see every Broadway Show i could.
The flashlight sequence is Twyla's interpretation of Death.
Go into the Light.
Can you do in Yoga class what those dancers are doing?
It's pretty amazing.
Just my opinion.

Posted: 10/10/06 at 10:10amI thought that this show was refreshing... sure it doesn't make much sense if you don't use your own imagination to fill in the gaps, but I think that is what makes it different. I love the use obscure references and the fact that it isn't your run of the mill musical... I wish some of the numbers were different or not there (i.e. the stupid song with the animal costumes) but I didn't think it was so bad that it wasn't worth seeing. I hope they get at least a few months out of this one.
