Is it just me or do they just offer the lowest priced regular seats disguised as discounted student tickets? For example: Curious Incident, the seats available are the same seats that one can purchase for $27 regularly. Are there ever any real discounts?
Is this service worth it?
The discounts are incredible, and a lot of the time you can get great seats. I've used more than TDF, Goldclub, discounts, and rush combined this past year.
I'm not seeing any real discounts yet. Do they show up sporadically?
How do the discounts look during the summer months?
Considering I saw The Elephant Man on a weekend from row B of the mezzanine for $49 through T4S, I'd say yes - the discounts existl. They offer what they can on a regular basis, and then sometimes specials come along. You just have to keep an eye out for them, of course.
Thank you, Greased. That's the info I was looking for.
Do I have to be a student, or can I just date one and be his intergenerational date?
Haha, haterobics - I believe the account holder can bring a guest of any age unless otherwise noted, so you're in if you get yourself a date
Happy to help, ljay889! To give you some more insight - they sometimes offer hard-to-get discount tickets at a discount as well. For example, The River has been on there consistently (in addition to TDF, apparently), Hedwig comes and goes, and sometimes even sporting or special events will be offered - like an Islanders game or currently the Radio City Spring Spectacular. I've even seen Wicked on there a few times for $60-or-so tickets. Plus, regarding what you said about Curious Incident and their $27 tix: I believe that Tix4Students has their own allotment of tickets per production, so even when the $27 tickets are sold out on Telecharge, Tix4Students members may still have access to a limited number of them. That's how I got mine!
I promise I don't work for them, just a regular user and supporter of the service!

Actually, my friend who is visiting in February *IS* a college student... Hmm...
Has anyone used this website for Hedwig? Do they check for a college ID?

^ It's not like that. They verify if you are an actual student before you even join the site. So yes, they essentially check your ID before you start.
Wow, you guys weren't kidding. Currently an amazing deal for Elephant Man.

Quite mad about the one in Chicago! Was hoping they'd have Book of Mormon discounts but I was told that they wouldn't!
I've used the site twice for Hedwig. Didn't ask to see my student ID either time. I did use the site for Kinky Boots and Curious Incident too and they asked for my student ID. I'm seeing Elephant Man Sunday and I'm sure they'll ask to see my student ID.

Anyone use T4S for Fun Home and know if they ask for student ID? I've lost my ID and the replacement won't come until next week, but have tickets for this weekend. Thanks!
