if you do not like a wicked thread do not click on it and type something nasty. people want to discuss the show and do not need negative comments. i do not like brooklyn or avenue q but i keep my nasty comments to myself. do not tell peopkle to use the search option because everytime someone wants to post something they don't use it, me being one of those people. don't come on here and tell peoople want they can and cannot post. if you see a thread you do not like STAY AWAY.

For your information Broadwaystar2b and everyon else, these message boards are open for ANYONE to post about ANYTHING. There should be no need for Wicked fans to have to privatley do messages and hide their thoughts about the show. Why does it bother you if there is a post that has a familiar topic? Don't read it! Everyone can post anything they want here so back off!

ahh..sorry broadwaystar. Let me re-phrase. I meant to say that I am sad and disgusted that you had to post a message preventing Wicked fans from talking. It was nothing against you. I AM upset with the people (cough broadwayguy and matt_G) who continue to come into the boards about Wicked and say "Stop posting these!" By no means do they have to read the messages and why does it make them so mad when they see a message about Wicked? It makes no sense. That's all

Notice how it's all the newbies who are commenting on how dumb we're being, but all the more rational, relative veteran Wicked fans who now understand what we're talking about. Stick around for a few months and see if you think the same.

Also, AGAIN to the people who say just skip the threads you don't want to read - IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT SKIPPING OVER THREADS. It's about the bandwidth these useless, repetitive threads take up. It's to no one's benefit. Not to the Wicked fans looking for information. Not to the Broadway fans who don't want to read about Wicked. Not to the moderators who have to spend so much time maintaining all of these threads and having a progressively slower and slower site.

I agree that there a some over-the-top Wicked fans who are just really asking to be tared and feathered, but I find some posters who need to be constantly sarcastic and insulting towards them just as bad. No, I'm not talking about the people who occasionally post snarky comments towards them, but the ones who seem to always show up in the Wicked threads that they claim to be better than and hate so much. It seems that many of those people just try to make themselves feel better by picking on those fans. Not only that, but how many parody threads have there been to make fun of Wicked fans? Yeah, a lot of them seem to be asking for it, but are you really better than them when you make Wicked fan-bashing your routine?

IMO, the best way to fight against those threads are to make your own interesting topics to talk about rather than fueling the fire and raging a war on posters who are probably much much younger than you, if not in age, then in maturity.

That said, I think the original post in this thread makes a good point and everyone should take the advice.
