[Wicked .. For Good]

when people join BWW, they join so they can discuss how much or how little they love a broadway show with people who have the same interest in that show. Many people, LOVE wicked, like me. But do you really need to put down the show? If you have something negative to say about the show, don't click on the board. Spare yourself from things you do not want to hear and let the people who love a show discuss without the rude comments getting in the way. Any1 agree?

I think it's just that with Wicked, people discuss it until it's dead and then keep discussing it. It just gets brought up SO often that it starts to get annoying. Of course it has it's fans, but it can just get a little repetitive.

Again, to cut and paste what I just wrote on this very thread,

It's not a matter of "If you don't like it, don't click it." It's also just common courtesy to other people around and really, to that person who starts the thread as well. First, there's no need to take up so much bandwidth with redundant questions and answers and arguments. I HATE it when this site goes down, and I'm sure part of it has to do with the high activity from these threads.

Also, if every second thread has to do with a something that's already been asked, it clutters up the main board and it's tedious to sift through all of that to find the few threads that are of interest. ("Few", because likely all the interesting threads have been pushed to the second or third page because 20 "new" Wicklynite threads have been started.)

Finally, it doesn't kill someone to bump a thread that has already been started on the same topic and just be like, "Is there an update on this?" Less threads to manage. Less redundancy to sift through. Less bandwidth taken up. Better responses, because likely your question's already been answered, and if not, by reviving an existing thread, you're still able to get up-to-date information.

People don't HATE Wicked. Okay, some do. What people HATE are the repetitive threads, the obnoxious, immature, obsessive freak posts, the stupid questions THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN ANSWERED. THAT'S what people hate. It's not negative remarks about Idina. It's not negative remarks about Wicked. It's negative remarks about the sheer volume of redundant and thus, pointless, posts!! It clogs up the board, it takes up bandwidth, and it's silly.

THese are the only phrases I know about anything, so I post them over and over again!!!!

I don't have a problem with WICKED. I don't think it's the most amazing show on this earth, and I think those who think that it IS the most amazing show ever written need to see/hear more musicals, but I don't have a problem with the show itself.

I do have a problem with fans coming on, raving about Idina/Taye/WICKED/Cheno in completely incomprehensible language, and, being unable to actually rationalise their opinions to have a considered debate, resorting to "Because she/he/it/she is!" when asked to expand on their opinions. And then getting nasty when people give a different opinion, back it up better, and point out how ridiculous their own comments appear.

For God's sake, people! If you're going to post about how amazing a show is at least back it up with something a TAD more intelligent!!! Otherwise, we'll all think you're stupid, immature, and obsessive, then you'll get upset, then there'll be another big fall-out & nobody will be happy.

All we are asking is THINK BEFORE YOU POST.

I just wanted to bump this thread to put the following link on for posterity's sake.

I am a hateful, spiteful, malicious person. And I spare no expense at being sadistic.

That being said, I think we should torture all ignorant Wicklynites by subjecting them to the worst punishment of all - forcing them to listen to big unknown flops with bad classic music - you know, like, West Side Story, Chorus Line, 42nd St, La Cage, and other little known crap. i meen lyke wHo R tHeSe No NaMeS nEwAy??????????????11111/????? ewwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
