To Those Performers Out There: The Musicals You Were Born To Be In

I think this was already a thread, but to my fellow performers out there , What are your top 5 musicals that you would love to do before you die? Parts you believe you were born to play, and if you had a chance you would jump at the chance to play that one character, or sing that one song?
It can also be plays if you like. The options are wide open, let me know what you were born to play :)

hmm concidering I had the right backround and there was a good tour going around I would def jump at the chance to be Rumpleteazer in CATS.

Also, Millie in TTM, Penny or Amber in Hairspray, Galinda in Wicked, Norma in Victor/Victoria, hmmm I think that'll do it :)

Eponine from Les Mis and Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."

In my senior year of high school I was cast as Pseudolous, but the girls found out what the word "courtesan" meant and caused a ruckus, so the show was switched to "Plain and Fancy". Since then I've played Hysterium and Lycus, but Pseudolous has still eluded me. But I don't act anymore.

(BTW -- in one production of Forum I did the director thought it would be cool to have the proteans on roller skates. Unfortunately, the show was done on a raked stage with no lip. No injuries, but a few close calls.)

Cathy- The Last Five Years
Tracy- Hairspray (I would gain any ammount of weight to play that part!)
Woman One- Songs for a New World or Closer than Ever
Eve- Children of Eden (Spark of Creation is such a beautiful song)
Lucille- Parade

Any of those role would be amazing...

O.K. Here it goes:

- The Phantom - - The Phantom of the Opera
- Lumier - - Beauty and the Beast
- Death/Tod - - German Musical "Elisabeth"
- Radames - - Aida
- Javert - - Les Miserbales
- Beast - - Beaty and the Beast

Sorry, that was six....Well, those are the roles I would just love to play!!! I would especially like to perform the roles of The Phantom and Javert on Broadway and in Germany! Out of all of those however, The Phantom is my ULTIMATE dream role!

To Those Performers Out There: The Musicals

Mine I'd have to say would be:

Mimi - RENT
Mrs. Lovett - SWEENEY TODD
Maria - WEST SIDE STORY (i wish i could sing the notes the character has to hit, but tough luck for me so theres no way im landing this part)
Millie - THROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE
Annie - ANNIE, GET YOUR GUN
Velma - CHICAGO

I have a lot more, but these are the biggies that I would love to play.

Galinda in Wicked
Philia in Forum
Belle in Beauty and the Beast
Hope/ Little Sally in Urinetown
Cinderella in Into the Woods

(even though i'm not the "type," (performers, you understand what i mean) i'd love to play Elphaba and Amneris) {sorry i know that makes it seven.. please forgive}

I love to play character roles, being that they are usually so much fun to do, so here's a few I am dying to play and for the most part would be perfect for:

Charlie Brown in "YAGMCB"
Nicely-Nicely in "Guys and Dolls"
The Lion in "The Wiz" or "The Wizard of Oz"
Seymour in "Little Shop of Horrors"
Charley in "Merrily We Roll Along"
Jack/Baker in "Into the Woods"

That's it for now.

Cheers,
The Balladeer

Okay, I know I might seem like a little too optimistic to even dream about ever playing these roles anywhere, but here goes....
1)Eponine- Les Miserables
2)Penny- Hairspray
3)Mrs. Lovett- Sweeney Todd
4)Louise- Gypsy
5)Audrey- Little Shop of Horrors
I'm not saying I'm in any way shape or form talented enough to play any of these roles, but isn't it nice to dream...
