To Wong Foo......would it be good as a musical?

I think it would translate really well!

What do you think?

Well, he wouldn't have to play him on b'way! There are plenty of people who could play the role!

I watched this the other night for the millionth time. . .and thought the same thing. Very fun and campy, with the whole Stockard Channing character storyline to really ground it.

Could be great fun.

Genius, honey, it's "To" Wong Foo.

I'd kill to play the Swayze role, he definitley had the best costumes...I imagine onstage they'd have William Ivey Long do the costuming...so we'd get another re-hash of Hairspray.

it would be awesome only if they cast the right Noxema. It cant be Michael Benjamin Washington workin that tired Mahoganny person he does. I and, hopefully he is waaayyyyy over it. its so done. Now i would love to see Jai Rodriguez as Chi-Chi though. you guys will probably laugh but i think Aaron Lazar would be a fun Vida.

Personally I liked Washington as Mahogany, and in "La Cage" (he and Bryan Batt rocked, IMO)...and I am excited to see him in "The Wiz" and would love to see him play Noxxema (sp???). David Turner would make a good Vida, and Jai would be a good Chi Chi.

Firstly as Rath pointed out PRISCILLA opens as a stage musical in Australia in October. PRISCILLA beat out TOO WONG FOO last time and I think will do so again should there be any interest in such a project.
