Thanks sweetie - but it's entirely true. This rather misguided individual decided that Jbarafan1 and I were the same person and that we (I) was a bigoted racist because I didn't agree with their assessment of a particular performer. Old friend Greg Jbara was in the show in question and Barbara (Jbarafan1) told this guy that Greg knew us both and knew we were two separate individuals who didn't even resemble each other. He proceded to say, with all seriousness, that we(I) were(was) SO manipulative that we had convinced Greg we (I) were two individuals rather than one. I was falling on the floor laughing and really wanted to save it (nobody ever credited me with so much POWER!) but one of the nice gentlemen mods here deleted the thread before I had a chance.
By the way - for the new timers edification and the old timers trip down memory lane - see if you can call back from archives a wonderful thread that Craig started - I believe in January 2006. It gave BWW members a chance to honor their fellow posters. (Besty - you must remember it.) For some reason I was able to call it up last night from home but the search command doesn't work from the pc's at work). After you get past the first few pages of cynicism, you get to the guts of the thread and learn a LOT about the posters here and how we really felt about each other. I fell in love with the people here all over again - and my heart broke again over how many are no longer with us. Starting that thread was the best thing Craig ever did!
Welcome back Mamie!
I think you mean the COTD threads?
(That's Celebrity Of The Day to the newbies)
We recently had a discussion about why it fizzled out and if it could be revived.
Great thread! I just wish anyone would heed the info in the first post!
THAT'S it! Thank you Doodle. (having brain-dead senior moments is now a way of life for me!)
I used to love that thread. I learned so much about the posters here!
Here is the last one, with links to the others on the first page:

So many missed posters!! sniffle
I found the link to the first thread. It was on the off-topic board: https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.php?thread=882598&boardname=off&boardid=2&page=1
(I read that first page to the end and completely lost it when I was reading the tributes to Glebby. Of course he was responding to all the questions and I came across one poster who asked him a question and that same poster had since changed his avatar to a pic of Mark with a signature line saying 'in memory of' So many wonderful people who were here then have gone to the angels.)
Here's Part II, although it seems to be a bit corrupted partway through:

EDIT: Found a much better version of Part II. I think this was on the OT Board:

My "day" started on page 122. I loved seeing the questions, and my "ancient" answers! I'm amazed at how much I said "amazing" back then. It was amazing, truly.
Mamie, you asked me one question that I answered, and it hit me like a ton of bricks:
It's on Page 126:
What is the warmest, most secure memory you have?
Walking home from grade school as child in the rain... and knowing that my mom would be waiting for my brother and me with the heat on, and a nice cup of hot chocolate when we got there.
My mom passed away in 2009, a few years after I wrote this. Seeing the answer brought a flood of memories and tears. I wasn't expecting it.
This is a great scrapbook of personalities and thoughts and feelings. It was wonderful to revisit it.
That's really wonderful! I'm sorry I wasn't around for it. But what a lovely thing to be able to visit.
Here is part III:

My days started on page 54, and it insired me to go back to my old avatar! She's prettier!
^^^^^^^YEA!!!!
I missed your "precious moments" Satanic Regan figurine, doodle!
~ lol...i remember that avatar!
~ nice to it back doodle!
~ lol @ 'precious moments'!!!
LOL!
I guess noone wanted to be looking at me!
(I do miss it, and Halloween is just around the corner!)
Maybe I'll break out my Tonya Harding broken shoelace avatar next! That'll please Dottie.
Whoever that poster was Mamie, I'm guessing they are long gone.
As long as I've been a member you've always been held in the highest regard.
I can't recall a single thing you or Jbarafan (another awesome poster) ever said that would make anyone think and say such nasty things about you.
~ on the contrary doodle...you're a cutie.
~ your pic was easy on the eyes.
~ but your exorcist avatar is 'iconic' on bww
Well the bitch is back!
(Thanks)
It's good to see Reagan again.
~ i don't believe you actually mean that tazber.
She's gonna pee alllllover the floor for y'all!
She's a satanic Betsy Wetsy.
I was never COTD? I could have sworn I was at some point. How on earth did that happen?
You're celebrity every day to me, Mister Matt!
Mister Matt, maybe you just thought everything was about you.
That must be it. Being a high profile celebrity every day just isn't fair to the rest of you. I'm okay with that.
Reg - I know everything's about me. I'm just waiting for the world to get used to it.
