Tony Awards Attire

I will be attending the TONYS on Sunday and on my ticket it states Black Tie Only.The last time I attended in 2010, I wore a suit. I was planning on wearing a suit again. Will that be acceptable or must I wear a tuxedo? Any clarification on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I attended the year The Producers swept the awards. While most men were in tuxes and most women wore gowns, there were definitely men in suits and women in cocktail dresses. If you're up in one of the balconies, I wouldn't think a tux would be required.
