"Darren Criss needs to replace Sierra.

Yes. What is up with Sierra's constant and repetitive "hey guys" and "you're awesome guys"?

She has a bit of a vacant look in her eyes.

I have to say that Sierra and Laura are doing a pretty darn good job at hosting the Carpet. Criss on the other hand, is a bit smug and has that "deer in the headlights" look about him. He's almost sophomoric in his approach and actually went to shake Dame Helen Mirren's hand, to which she obviously dismissed. Does he think he's at a Yankee's game?

overall i think they are doing pretty good, especially considering this is the first time they've done this!!

I'm on the west coast and I signed up for that CBS All Access Live to stream the ceremony, but it looks like they won't give me the east coast feed. Does anyone know how to get around that? Also, does anybody know of another way to stream it? My usual sources weren't working.
Thanks!

I'm guessing these three hosts were chosen to go for the younger demographic, but a bit more gravitas might have been welcome. Laura comes closest to having that poise.

Amanda S. looks thoroughly irritated by Sierra.

^ Frankly, who wouldn't be? Oy already with the gushing...
Darren Criss seems to have the best touch on the red carpet. Kudos to him.

Criss definitely seems prepared with some more in-depth talking points.

Yea he's asking good questions. It seems like the Tonys are really huge this year, I hope it puts broadway more on the map!!

So sad to see someone peed on the arm of the gown worn by Sting's wife.

I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes, they really are pathetic.

I thought Darren pretty much botched his brief moment with Dame Helen Mirren. Also I hate how they keep referring to the whole night as a musical theatre this-and-that. Plays make up half of the Tonys.

I love NY1 but their interviews weren't really going anywhere so I switched to the livestream.
Darren is the MVP of the livestream right now. Good questions, nice little quips, and he seems quick, like he's better at rolling with whatever happens. I love Sierra. I love all her broadway.com vlogs but she's more high energy and less... other good qualities. Laura's just kind of there.

Also, Sierra didn't even know Gigi was performing. Wtf.

Stop judging everything they're doing. It's a high pressure situation and they're doing their best. I think they're doing great, all three of them. Stop with the negativity.

Darren literally got there maybe 2 minutes before, so I'm not surprised if he was taken off guard to immediately be interviewing someone as huge as Helen Mirren. He had no time to adjust, cut the guy a little bit of slack lol. At least since then, he's definitely been the best of the 3 hosts.

Spare me the "we have to stay positive." These are trained professionals who presumably prepared for the roles they are performing tonight. As such, comments on their performance are totally warranted, consturctive, positive, and everything in-between.

I actually think they are all doing pretty ok, especially considering this is their first time doing anything like this.
