THE FANTASTICKS revival, reimagined as a gay love story, aiming for Broadway

via Gattelli's insta: ... (And who knew the updated concept of setting it in a hockey rink would feel so relevant? 😉)

Off-Broadway experiences -2025/2026
 Dec 21 2025, 10:57:56 AM

Just curious why more people haven't posted about BEAU The Musical here? I know it's been running for a bit and closes in two weeks. I've read a lot of positives on social media, other review outlets and Show Score. I'm considering going to see it, but wonder what others here have to say about it. Thanks.

Unfathomable!  I guess Madison Square Garden just doesn't have the same ring to it!

Gotta Dance at The York Theatre
 Dec 4 2025, 03:05:16 PM

Fourteen dancers make up the cast of Gotta Dance, a revue celebrating Broadway and film choreography, from the legendary to the lesser-known. They sing, they dance, and they fill the intimate Theatre at St. Jean’s with nonstop movement.

This production marks the latest incarnation of American Dance Machine for the 21st Century, which had its premiere season in 2014. What’s different now is how fully “produced” it feels, with The York Th

Jonathan Groff Sets 2025 Broadway Return with JUST IN TIME?

Understudy Trifecta!

I bought a discounted ticket to see the show tonight, knowing Matthew Magnusson (a steadfast, handsome Bobby) would be on for Groff. I didn't get the recent BWW update, so didn’t expect to see the covers for Sandra Dee (a likable Larkin Reilly) and Connie Francis (the terrific Gabi Carruba). So for the first time, all three were performing together, and sadly the rhythm of the show was off. It didn’t help that the sound person might have be

Whatever happened to Katrina Lenk?

Just two weeks ago, Lenk had a guest starring role as an attorney on the new season of LAW & ORDER. She looked great!

Ah, the beauty of a rush ticket for a guilt-free exit after 75 long minutes of the QOV tonight.

50th Anniversary Revival of A CHORUS LINE still on track for 202
 Jul 25 2025, 06:11:31 PM

The ladies were all lovely. Not much new info if you're an avid fan of the show. We've heard most of it before. The moderator was  surprisingly unprepared and much too emotional. Leave the gushing to the fans. The flashmob was enthusiastic and sweet. All ages, sizes, and shapes, etc. Very 2025!

That slipshod, hard-to-hear Tony Awards performance did the show no favors either.

It's looking more and more like a DEATH BECOMES THEM come Tony time.

City Centers 24-25: Ragtime, Urinetown, LaChiusa's Wild Party, Love Life

The worst production I've seen in NY in recent memory. And I saw LEMPICKA.

It's hard to believe those two numbers will sell lots of tickets. They sadly reveal what a distinctly subpar show it actually is.

The 78th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2025

My vote goes to the duo of Justin Peck & Patricia Delgado for their elegant, Latin-infused dances in Buena Vista Social Club, versus the trio of Jerry Mitchell, Rachelle Rak and Jon Rua's cartoon-ography in BOOP!

I enjoyed this review, but this was an amusing mixup of composers. David Foster is the Grammy-winning producer-songwriter who's worked with Whitney Houston and Celine Dion, and written the music for ''Boop!'' ... Stephen Foster, o

BOOP last night...

An assault on the senses.

BOOP! The Musical steamrolls onto Broadway like a high-speed Bullet train! With such ferocity, one would think the cast would be fired if not giving 125%. Director Jerry Mitchell’s frenetic direction comes at you fast and furious.

This cast is working at warp speed to give life to a sometimes funny, sometimes not book by Bob Martin.

Kudos to Jasmine Amy Rogers (Boop) for navigating the difficu

Today's photo spread by Matthew Murphy certainly doesn't look appealing. And he's a darn good photographer. That, coupled with so many posts here that just comment on the "sponsor," sure ain't selling me on this. What's up with that ensemble? Looks the dancers from LEMPICKA weren't out of work for too long. I'm surprised more people on here haven't seen this given it opens on Thursday. Where's WhizzerMarvin when you need him? I guess I'll just

The good: Megan Hilty is absolutely hysterical and a joy to see back on Broadway. She gets the best material, by far, and seems to be having a blast. Jennifer Simard is reliably funny and at her deadpan best. Act one, in particular, works like gangbusters: the score is better and the laughs come fast and furious. Seriously,I was laughing nearly the entire time; to the point I miss

Trick or Treating
 Oct 31 2024, 07:46:54 PM

Looks like lots of the "kids" decided to go begging for candy tonight instead of showing up. Included in the no shows were Brody Grant, Joshua Boone, Emma Pittman and Daryl Tofa. What a disappointment.

The 77th Annual TONY Awards Performances

Opening

Rule #1-- We need to HEAR the lyrics.

Rule #2--Never wear a color (gold) that mirrors the background.

Rule #3--Auditioning for J Lo's understudy on National TV is a no-no.

I've said it from her beginnings--DeBose has the best agent in show business.
