Who's taking Leading Actress in a Musical this year?

MemorableUserName said: "quizking101 said: "Even months later, I couldn’t tell you a damn thing in Levy’s performance than stuck with me."

Same. While I was more impressed by several of the other performances than you were, I got nothing from Levy until she got to deliver vocal pyrotechnics in her big number, and by then it was too little too late. Otherwise, it felt likeJoshua Henry owning the stage, Brandon Uranowitz doing impressive work,

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/3/26

Philip Boroff at Broadway Journal reports that Schmigadoon!  was capitalized for as much as $15 million, according to an SEC filing. I’m a bit surprised it’s that low. Sales over the next few weeks don’t look especially strong, but they’re not disastrous either. In today’s Broadway market, where costs are higher and recoupment is less certain even for successful shows, that puts it in a fairly modest range. If it connects with aud

THE LOST BOYS Reviews

Now that I’ve seen all the new musicals, my recommendation for out-of-town casual theatergoers would be Titanique, if you want a rollicking good time (and are familiar with the movie), or The Lost Boys (which I wasn’t crazy about), if you’re looking for a big, flashy musical about vampires. Schmigadoon! will likely be lost on many audiences since its humor depends heavily on affection and knowledge of classic film-musical tropes. And while I loved

SCHMIGADOON! Previews

The audience seemed to love it, although even the creators cameout before curtain to thank the hundreds of die hard fans in the audience who made the show possible in the first place so take their reaction with a grain salt.

i watched a few episodes of the tv series and thought they joke played itself out very quickly and didn’t think episodic form was right for it, but I did thin

THE LOST BOYS Previews

trentsketch said: "Did anyone go last night? I'm hearing they really beefed up the final fight sequence.

*Possible Spoilers*

It seems like the same fight sequence I saw on Wednesday. There’s only so much thrill you can get from two actors hanging from wires and swinging toward each other. For a moment that should showcase technical wizardry, it just didn’t land. Honestly, I was more intrigued by how easily they unclipped their harnesses

THE LOST BOYS Previews

Ouch! A slow burn that never ignites. Aside from the clever design—which has more life than the eerily lifeless scenes—the show offers little in the way of thrills. There’s nothing especially terrifying here, and the flying and special effects fall short of spectacular.

The talented Shoshana Bean shines in her “musical within a musical,” and Paul Nolan earns credit for diving headfirst into the delirium. Vocally, L.J. Benet impresses, and Ali Louis Bourzgu

Gotta Dance! - American Dance Machine

ACL2006 said: "Does the program list anyone as swings?"

According to their Playbill, there are 17 cast members, all listed as “Company.” At the York, there were 14. I was particularly impressed with RJ Higton (The Outsiders), who seems to have taken some of Jess LeProtto’s track. He’s especially winning in “All I Need Is the Girl.”

Though covers and understudies are listed under each number, it looks like they&rsquo

THE FANTASTICKS revival, reimagined as a gay love story, aiming for Broadway

Off-Broadway experiences -2025/2026

Just curious why more people haven't posted about BEAU The Musical here? I know it's been running for a bit and closes in two weeks. I've read a lot of positives on social media, other review outlets and Show Score. I'm considering going to see it, but wonder what others here have to say about it. Thanks.

TRUMP RENAME" DONALD J TRUMP KENNEDY CENTER

Unfathomable!  I guess Madison Square Garden just doesn't have the same ring to it!

Gotta Dance at The York Theatre

Fourteen dancers make up the cast of Gotta Dance, a revue celebrating Broadway and film choreography, from the legendary to the lesser-known. They sing, they dance, and they fill the intimate Theatre at St. Jean’s with nonstop movement.

This production marks the latest incarnation of American Dance Machine for the 21st Century, which had its premiere season in 2014. What’s different now is how fully “produced” it feels, with The York Th

Jonathan Groff Sets 2025 Broadway Return with JUST IN TIME?

Understudy Trifecta!

I bought a discounted ticket to see the show tonight, knowing Matthew Magnusson (a steadfast, handsome Bobby) would be on for Groff. I didn't get the recent BWW update, so didn’t expect to see the covers for Sandra Dee (a likable Larkin Reilly) and Connie Francis (the terrific Gabi Carruba). So for the first time, all three were performing together, and sadly the rhythm of the show was off. It didn’t help that the sound person might have be

Whatever happened to Katrina Lenk?

Just two weeks ago, Lenk had a guest starring role as an attorney on the new season of LAW & ORDER. She looked great!

THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES Previews

Ah, the beauty of a rush ticket for a guilt-free exit after 75 long minutes of the QOV tonight.

50th Anniversary Revival of A CHORUS LINE still on track for 202

The ladies were all lovely. Not much new info if you're an avid fan of the show. We've heard most of it before. The moderator was  surprisingly unprepared and much too emotional. Leave the gushing to the fans. The flashmob was enthusiastic and sweet. All ages, sizes, and shapes, etc. Very 2025!

DEATH BECOMES HER Reviews

That slipshod, hard-to-hear Tony Awards performance did the show no favors either.

Drama Desk nominations '25

It's looking more and more like a DEATH BECOMES THEM come Tony time.

City Centers 24-25: Ragtime, Urinetown, LaChiusa's Wild Party, Love Life

The worst production I've seen in NY in recent memory. And I saw LEMPICKA.

DEATH BECOMES HER Reviews

It's hard to believe those two numbers will sell lots of tickets. They sadly reveal what a distinctly subpar show it actually is.

The 78th Annual Tony Award Nominations for 2025

CoffeeBreak said: "Who snags choreography this year? Buena Vista? Boop?"

My vote goes to the duo of Justin Peck & Patricia Delgado for their elegant, Latin-infused dances in Buena Vista Social Club, versus the trio of Jerry Mitchell, Rachelle Rak and Jon Rua's cartoon-ography in BOOP!
