Is it too late to nominate the opening number for Best Musical this season?

I think we're lucky to have both Ragtime and CATS:The Jellicle Ball on Broadway. Wins aside, they were my favorite musicals in this lackluster season. I'd be happy to see them share the wealth.

Philip Boroff at Broadway Journal reports that Schmigadoon! was capitalized for as much as $15 million, according to an SEC filing. I’m a bit surprised it’s that low. Now that I’ve seen all the new musicals, my recommendation for out-of-town casual theatergoers would be Titanique, if you want a rollicking good time (and are familiar with the movie), or The Lost Boys (which I wasn’t crazy about), if you’re looking for a big, flashy musical about vampires. Just curious why more people haven't posted about BEAU The Musical here? I know it's been running for a bit and closes in two weeks. I've read a lot of positives on social media, other review outlets and Show Score. I'm considering going to see it, but wonder what others here have to say about it. Thanks.

Ah, the beauty of a rush ticket for a guilt-free exit after 75 long minutes of the QOV tonight.

The ladies were all lovely. Not much new info if you're an avid fan of the show. We've heard most of it before. The moderator was surprisingly unprepared and much too emotional. Leave the gushing to the fans. The flashmob was enthusiastic and sweet. All ages, sizes, and shapes, etc. Very 2025!

That slipshod, hard-to-hear Tony Awards performance did the show no favors either.

It's looking more and more like a DEATH BECOMES THEM come Tony time.
