muscle, being in a movie is not the only way of being an A-lister.
Stamos, Chenoweth and Neuwirth are all recognizable TV stars.
And Miller was quite the tabloid queen while she was married to Jude Law.
Either way they are all bigger stars then your precious Montego Glover.
Of course they are bigger stars than Montego, she is just a Broadway performer. Yet, the last hit John Stamos had on TV was years ago! The same goes for Bebe and Kristin. Far from A-listers.
So are u telling me that being a Tony winner is a reward for people who has a sucky career in TV and movies? A-list movie stars are actors. An actor should be able to do tv, movies and theatre. If these A-list people are good enough to win, they should win. Simple as that. You said it like Kristen Chenoweth shouldn't win her Emmy because she's an "A-list" theatre actress.
Pushing Daises was two years ago, muscle.

I agree. I find it very funny that some people are complaining about Hollywood actors coming to Broadway and winning Tony awards. Someone over on All That Chat said that Hollywood actors were 'stealing' the awards from other, more deserving New York actors. Yet if this Broadway actor or that Broadway actress does a film or a TV show and goes on to win an Oscar or an Emmey, most people here are pleased as punch to see a Broadway actor or actress succeed in Hollywood. It seems like there's a double standard: Hollywood actors can't do Broadway, but Broadway actors are allowed do movies and TV. It seems a little hypocritical to me.

didn't she win the emmy last year though? doesn't matter. time flies. :)
this hollywood/theatre/tv/A lister arguement does my head in. in a perfect world all actors should respect one another for their craft. it may not be the case, but the to-ing and fro-ing here about lambasting someone due to what they are most known for is getting silly.

"Zeta-Jones is a musical theater pro"
Hardly. She played Peggy in the 42nd tour after the lead fell ill. Then played a role in a Kurt Weill opera.
This thread pisses me off.
Sorry.. just had to say it.
