No big surprises here, except that Uzo Aduba will be considered Featured for Clyde's. I actually think it's the right call, but I think many expected her to be put in lead because the production was marketed around her. Also, she's at the center of the narrative, even if her stage time is limited, and sometimes that's enough to put people in lead.

Worth noting that Skeleton Crew actors will all be considered Featured, which makes sense, though they probably could've put Rashad in leading if they wanted to.

Robert Sella will be considered Featured for Flying Over Sunset, despite effectively being a co-lead with the same amount of stage time as the others. But I think we all saw this coming since he was downplayed in the marketing, and there isn't quite as much focus on him.

And Jenn Gambatese in Doubtfire will be leading, which I think is the only other announcement here that would've been considered borderline.

Makes sense for CLYDE'S and SKELETON CREW. I wonder how many Tony voters actually saw those shows? Uzo Aduba and Brandon Dirden could have a real chance of winning in the Featured category if they're nominated.

Both categories already seemed stacked because of the multiple ensemble plays this year, with the biggest spoiler for Featured Actress being someone from FOR COLORED GIRLS (if not Mueller or Brown for THE MINUTES) and Featured Actor with the spoiler of THOUGHTS OF A COLORED MAN, HANGMEN, and AMERICAN BUFFALO (depending on how they rule on those actors).

I think CLYDE’S was definitely more a seen and SKELETON CREW was definitely slept on, especially with Omicron pummeling part of it’s already short run

Not Austin Pendleton? He was easily the cast standout for me. I thought he was excellent in his comic-relief type role. And it would be a good excuse to give him some recognition after a very long career.
