Wanna Be, just don't read them. It's very simple.
So the Tonys are musicals-only this year?
I think that Young Frankenstein has a chance of not being nominated, but I think if it's nominated, it will likely win. I can't picture tony voters voting for Passing Strange or In the Heights over a big classic musical.

SirNot, I agree with most of your choices, except I think Kelli O'Hara deserves much more than 1 star. I really enjoyed her performance.
I especially hope Laura Benanti wins it too, and I think that Passing Strange will be a dark horse (so to speak) contender in a lot of categories.

Emcee, some people don't really see plays, so I think they just don't post their predictions if they haven't seen them, or enough of them, to comment
uuuuuh.... ya. woah esparza 333 has it down!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't asking that seriously. I know.
Also, since when is Young Frankenstein a "classic musical"? Classic, big Broadway style, maybe, but that show is nowhere near a classic. It's what, barely a year old?
"So the Tonys are musicals-only this year?"
Didn't you get the memo?
Apparently not.

I think the Featured Actress in a musical category is the most crowded with worthy nominees; some of whom will have to be snubbed...
You left Grease out.

While Grease will probably be nominated, they don't need to nominate it. Isn't there a rule that states 75% of the revivals need to be nominated or something like that?
They have to fill the spot.
Well, just so you guys know, I posted PREDICTIONS, not my dream ballot. My dream ballot would probably involve Sutton Foster winning every award.
And no, I believe the rule is that if there are just enough revivals to fill the category, they all have to be nominated.
I can't see YF winning in any situation, but I'm detecting a lot of backlash towards Passing Strange.
Those wanting to post/discuss play predictions...go ahead. This is the thread.
I think GLORY DAYS is going to take the 4th Best Score slot.
I can't see the Nominating Committee passing up the chance to give a single nod to these up and coming composers over more Mel Brooks or half a new Disney score.
Revival only needs to fill 3 slots, I believe.
So no Grease, I assume!
Emcee,
I meant classic as in large cast, traditional broadway music, and pretty dancing.
I didn't like it much at all. And no, I don't think it will stand the test of time. But I think road producers will see a crowd-pleasing touring show.
