I really think Tony is the heart of this show, and even though Tick's story is the central one, I know I at least found that I was most interested in Bernadette's story- thanks to Tony Sheldon's amazing performance. Seriously, I left the theater raving about him to anyone who would listen!
When I saw Tony Sheldon in the show, I thought his character "Bernadette" looked like Marlene Dietrich, with just a dash of Loretta Young. Just mah opinion. from RC in Austin, Texas
"WHAT THE HELL are you people seeing in this performance??"
Not Dee Hoty.
It's a mix of Dee Hoty and Jan Maxwell.

My friend said Lauren Bacall during the show.
I think with Tick's character given a bit more heft on Broadway than in London, it called for a change in curtain call line-up?
There really just should have been a simultaneous bow for the three of them.
As stated above, just because Tony is giving the better performance, doesn't mean he should get the final bow.
Am I the only one who loved Nick Adam's performance?
I didn't have a problem with Nick Adams. Of the three leads, he gets the least depth, and they basically needed someone with a good body to prance around and sing Madonna songs. He fit the bill.
Tony always got the final bow until NYC. Which just reflects a shift in the change of focus, making the show more about Tick's emotional journey.
Also, to say Sheldon is impersonating Terrence Stamp is just absurd in every way. And insulting. The two performances could not be more different.
