Does Caroline really need change?
Deadbeat Tonya?

I am sorry, but that was funny. Thanks for cheering up my afternoon. Anyway, I didn't hear the entire story on this...what's the deal?
I don't think it's funny that a mother has a temper that renders her unfit.
Guys, this is the NY POST. They sensationalize EVERYTHING to make it a "better" story.
It's more "titilating" for some to read that a successful B'way actress is violent and unfit, than for them to report something more balanced.
Best to take ANYthing in the Post with a wink and a grain of salt.
I am trying to find the article. Didn't she have something in her contract for Caroline that included daycare for her kids? How many does she have?
There had to be some reason they were taken away. It is a fact that they were.
Actually, I read recently that 70% of men who fight for custody of their kids actually get it.
My instincts told me otherwise...but that's what I read.
robbiej (great to see you, by the way!), do you think that's because fathers generally only seek custody when the mother is unfit? Otherwise would they assume they would lose and not even try?

Is no one thinking of the best interests of the kids? Tonya is right when she says this is the kind of matter best settled privately.
When something like this hits the papers, everybody is wrong.
Ain't there no decency left?
courts always give custody to the mother or less the father can prove a strong case that the mother is unfit.
Poor Tonya, that must really suck losing custody of your children. But, I would gladly take her job...

Slight correction - the story is in the NY Daily News, not the NY Post.
uncageg, she's got four kids. Four kids. FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUR kids.
heehee Matt.
I act and sing
And mind that boy
Doing Broadway
Making money
And I am mean
And I am tough
But 10 Grand a week
Ain't enough
And I got divorced
Had to
God, I love that musical. It's really one of my alltime favorites.
I hope Tonya can work this out without the kids beind hurt.
That's actually not true re: courts always give to the mother unless proven unfit.
I think it's a either a matter of a father believing a judge won't give custody, or a father choosing not to seek it because of career obligations.
One of the reasons Meryl Streep refuses to do theatre right now is because she still has a child at home and feels she won't be around much for that child. I imagine that may have had something to do with the decision.
I saw an interview with her and she talked about seeing them.
WOSQ - don't forget that Tonya used every media outlet to discuss her personal problems and this particular issue around the time of the opening of CAROLINE.

Like I said, everybody is wrong.
All I'm going to say is it's not wise to base a statement, rather judgement, on 1 source. Read more to find out all the details of the situation if you are so inclined to comment.
Maybe she slammed down the iron and the kids just got in the way.
SLAM DOWN THE IRON
SLAM DOWN THE IRON
SLAM IT
SLAM IT
SLAM IT ON HIS HEAD
...SH*T!
